Hey guys! I've been thinking about getting into nail art (for fun). I've been painting my own nails for years, and I've got a few tricks and stuff for painting my right hand, and I think I'm ready for some new stuff. I'm gonna try out water marbling tonight, but I really wanna start doing patterns and stuff (aside from using Shatter nailpolish). Any nail artists with some tricks and tips for a newbie?

This is exactly the sort of stuff I've been looking into! I know basics for make-up art, but I haven't experimented much (except tonight and a few other times in the past year) mostly because I never have anybody but myself to work on...

Well, try some basic patterns e.g. Stripes or Polka dots. If you're already confident, I suggest trying a design my friend once tried. It's a watermelon design, basically painting your nails red, painting the tips green and optionally adding the 'seeds' (black dots of nail polish). heart
