Halloween Costume- Ideas?

So I'm invited to my friends halloween party, but i have no idea what to go as. She said it should be scary sort of costume. I've looked on the net, but all the costumes are, well, skimpy. Any ideas?

Well what are the things you like?

If your looking to go cheap for a party, going as a zombie isn't a half bad idea - you can create fake blood from ingredients from your kitchen, tear up old clothes and soil them by rolling it in dirt and dust, and use makeup from your bathroom to create bruises and decay.

Or go as a horror movie classic like Freddy Krueger or Jason. 8D You can never go wrong with those two.

ETA: Yes, Ringu or also one of the folks from The Grudge would be cool too.

I agree! A zombie is a great scary costume, and it's loads of fun to dress up as.

I don't know. I'm going as a wolf in sheep's clothing, but that is a more complex costume. There's the classic fallbacks like vampire and zombie and ghost r witch or whatever, but those are- well, they're fallbacks.

One of the best inspirations is books and movies- maybe a favourite disney villain? (one of these or summat)

This is probably more work than you really want to put into it, but...

Oh, and pirate you can get really creative with. Find a puffy shirt, shorts, and big ole' boots, that's all you need to start, and then you go for details- a sash, earring, cutlass, etc. The more the better. Tear out a button and replace it with another, different one if you can sew. Hair in a bandanna- don't bother with a bought pirate hat, bought costumes SUCK.

I plan to use Manila card as the mask, or cone-shaped party hats.
If I can't borrow a black cloth, I think I'll just dye some old curtains black.

I just looked up on google some pictures. It looks awesome. I might go as that and borrow my friends witch hat. smile Party hat for the mask. Thanks for the idea smile -hugs-
