Inverted Bob [Haircut]

I have no idea whatsoever, so I'll get to the point.
I want to get my hair cut. I've had it cut to my ears before.
(It looked kind of geeky, I admit.)
So I want to get my hair cut in an inverted bob, that way...
my hair is still short, but the front is long so my cheeks don't look gigantic.
(Apparently I have a chubby face.)
But all my friends are telling me to keep my hair the same.
So I'm kind of afraid to get my hair cut...
What should I do?
I've always wanted to get this haircut, but I'm not sure...

My hair takes forever to grow, though, which is why I'm so concerned about this.
Also I don't want people to make fun of me.
I'm really sensitive. And well...yeah.
I dunno.
Everyone says they like my long hair.
And I'm only cutting the back.
I'm indecisive. I don't know what to do.

I personally like the look of an Inverted Bob, I think they look more mature but at the same time you can get side sweeping bangs and style and look sexy.

But you do what you want to do. Don't let us or your friends pressure you into anything.

My hair was long and everyone liked it. It was down to my midback, and I got it cut into an inverted bob. It took a lot of getting used to but it was WORTH IT. When it's straightened and side parted with swoop bangs, it's HOT.

My hair isn't even that long.
It's past my shoulders now. And it only just got there.
In comparison to my haircut last year (to my ears), it's pretty long.
It might be the longest my hair has ever been.

It looks awesome. I've been looking at pictures for a month.
I've always loved the style.
Plus my mom thinks it might be odd-looking since my hair is naturally curly...
And I'm blasian (black and asian).
I don't know.
I want to feel confident in my hair.
And I was pretty confident when I pretty much cut all my hair last year.

Do you own a straightener? If not a recommend getting a Chi (even though they are pricey) or a straightener that lets you choose how hot you want it.

Do what makes you feel comfortable and confident. It will probably take a while to get used to it (I got a bob [no inverted though] a few years ago and it was really different! plus you don't need nearly as much shampoo ; ) )
but you need to be confident in your hair or it will totally effect your personality and you don't want that.

I have naturally curly hair and I cut mine short, to my chin when it was past my shoulders and it laid straight for me. I say go for it. Definitely invest in a straightening iron, some frizz control to keep the fly away hairs down, a good hairspray ( I use Got2b hairspray which smells nice along with their "Guardian Angel" spray that keeps your hair from damaging with heat from straightening and such.) and maybe some gel.

Once you get it done you adjust pretty quick to the feeling of it being so short. Experiment daily with new styling techniques as well, I would use a curling iron and straighten my hair with that and curl under the ends. Also, try some cute hair accessories like headbands, bows, etc. You'd be surprised what they can do for a look. ='3

I know that I tend to change my hair style a lot because I get bored easily.
Right now I'm in the process of growing my hair down to my bum whereas before my hair was only up to my shoulders. I just feel like a change and there is nothing wrong with that.

It doesn't matter what your friends have to say about your hair because if you want your hair a different style, go for it! Getting a new hair style can make yourself feel more confident as well as feeling less bored with your hair.

Besides, an inverted bob seems to be in style as of now, but of course even if it wasn't in style, it wouldn't matter because it's your hair, you choose how you want it to look like, ok?
