Rainbow Hair?? D:

I've recently become kind of interested in rainbow hair. Sort of like this:

Boop 2
Boop 3

I'm really anxious to someday dye my hair like that ^
But I have some questions... s:
1) How much would it cost to buy the hair dye?
2) How much would it cost to get it done at a salon?
3) How would it look on me?
4) How damaging is it for my hair?
5) What brands of dye might work best?
6) Do certain brands have different effects?

Yeah, so help? :l Any kind of advice/tips or whatnot would be helpful <3

Don't do it yourself! My friend tried this... and it ruined her hair D:

Depends on the salon. At the one I go to it's about eighty bucks

Eh.... no sure...

Like I said... salons are best..

I don't do brands xD


But I wanna get rainbow bangs one day too.
I just have to be out of the house...
Or I want a turquoise to purple gradient in them.
Once again, I gotta wait til I'm in college xD

I'm getting my hair cut soon so I'll ask my hair dresser about it lol
Also, my birthday's in a few months so I'm definitely putting "rainbow hair" on my list xD

1) How much would it cost to buy the hair dye?
You will prob have to bleach your hair a couple of times and bleach kits are around $10 so that part will be about $30
Then you will need every colour of the rainbow ( And its about $12 for a small bottle) so it matters how many colours you choose, could be up to like $60 worth of colours , making the grand total about $90
2) How much would it cost to get it done at a salon?
I'm guessing A LOT since they have to bleach your hair a bunch, seperate it and colour it.
3) How would it look on me?
no idea
4) How damaging is it for my hair?
The Bleach will damage your hair a lot, since its taking pigmint out of your hair. If you do get your hair done like it make sure you keep your hair healthy and not apply any heat to it or else it might just fall out.
5) What brands of dye might work best?
I've heard Manic Panic is a good brand, its semi permanent .
6) Do certain brands have different effects?
Different brands will have different effects, Some brands are just wash outs, and some are semi-permanent. Also some colours will come out different from the bleached coloured hair, such as if you get a blue it may come out green if you do not bleach your hair enough and have it suitable for the blue colouring

1) How much would it cost to buy the hair dye?
Well, it depends. Manic Panic is pretty good on dyes, and they have a huge selection of colors. SPLAT is also one, but they have a very limited selection.

2) How much would it cost to get it done at a salon?
Well, you can actually bring in hair dye to use at some places. But you may need to save up, or get your hair rainbow- hued as a x-mas present or something.

3) How would it look on me?
really nice.

4) How damaging is it for my hair?
Well, based on the hue, you would need bleach, which lightens the color (in other words, strips color off the folicle..) it's not damaging to the base of the hair- it only lightens the part it touches. In other words, not very damaging at all. I've gotten a strip of hair bleached an died a very bright red, and the dye washed out over time. The bleach left when my hair grew, and I cut my hair.

5) What brands of dye might work best?
Manic Panic, salon brands, or a few in stores like Sephora and Ulta. If you describe what you want to the salespersons or bring in a picture and show it to them, they are pretty helpful.

6) Do certain brands have different effects?
Well, yes. Some brands carry ones that glow under black light (SPLAT, Manic Panic, etc), and some carry regular colors, and florescent colors. But they also create their own hues (each company), although some from different companies do look the same.

I'll look into that Manic Panic stuff, I believe I saw it at this store a few weeks ago. Also, I'm going to Sephora in a couple of days so I'll ask the people there for some advice xD
