Sooo basically I want to know how to straighten hair (particularly the flattening part) without damaging it. That includes straightening it with heat and damaging it chemically... I've never dyed my hair, I don't blow dry it, etc. I straightened it with a hot straightener for a little over a year and then stopped when it started getting split ends (poor hairses :c ). But I like how flat straightening it makes it (it's already fairly straight). One of my friends said you could straighten it without heat... do y'all have any suggestions?

Do you have a blow dryer that has a "cool" setting or button? Try taking a round brush and blow drying it straight but using that setting rather than the heat.. Other wise I'm not quite sure..

There's tons of products you can use- Garnier Fructis has a straightening shampoo, and Bumble&Bumble make some great serums, although they're crazy expensive. And you can also try a heat protectant before straightening.

I wonder the same thing cuz I straighten my hair every day, excpet weekends when I have no where to be at. I know i'm damaging my hair but I hate my waves =(
Hmm, I'll have to check out the straightening shampoo. I don't own a blow dryer, and I actually did/do use a heat protectant before straightening, thanks. =)
