best place to shop for this...?

so i need a dress for a dance that is coming up on friday.
the theme is holly wood, so i dunno what kind of dress i should get.
it seems like everyone is dressing up a little bit for it though...? idk
i don't want anything fancy - shmancy i'm just not that kind of person.
i like dresses that flounce at the bottom, kind of ripple out when you twirl.
am i making sense? >.<
anyways, i was thinking about going shopping for a dress tomorrow or something.
i don't want to spend too much money.
does anyone know where i could go to shop for a nice dress?

Deb always has some rather nice dresses but I don't know if they're too dressy for the occasion. But if the theme is Hollywood, I would assume that most people will be pretty dressy. I wouldn't recommend going to the usual mall stores (Kohl's, Sears, JCP, etc.) because at this time of year, they usually have flowery sundresses because spring is coming up,or the same dresses that they always have. You won't find anything unique.
I don't know where you'd be able to get an inexpensive dress. Most dressy ones on the market are at least $50.
