Yeah, I've got quite a list of these... and I must amass MORE STILL MWAHAHA - hence this thread.
Light: I don't really have one that defines the whole of his character, what with all the character development he's got, but here's a snapshot of him in episode 1, and here's where he is by episode 37. And another episode 37 song, while we're at it.
L: Acetastic.
Misa: This one. Not to be confused with any of the stupid popular covers that try to make it off as not a complete tragedy.
Mello (hey, he beat Near to the first line): Again, obviously, too much character development to take in. Here's Episode 27 Mello (the woman represents Justice), and here's Episode 37 Mello. That wasn't a typo, incidentally, it was a recognition.
I don't actually have a good one for Near. This will have to do.
Rem: Contradicting my commentary for the Misa song, here's a butchered showtune. It's the version that fits best.
Mikami: Come on, like you didn't see this coming.
Soichiro: You might not want to click this one if you like classic rock.
Matsuda: Circa episode 19. But really, he's like that most of the time.
Aizawa: This one fits him enough that I'm willing to overlook the fact that it lapses into screamo for a verse.
And lastly, this one is perfect for two random Wammy kids adrift in the (new) world.
If any songs struck you as incredibly Death Note-y, then that's what this thread is for, my friend.
