Jess still couldn't spot the snitch, and she was beginning to get nervous. Terren had definitely realized he'd found it, and was going after it... but she couldn't tell where it was herself! She narrowed her brown eyes, searching the sky fervently. Come on, little Snitchy...

Ally caught the Quaffle as Elsie passed it over. She dove down to use Elsie to help block the Cain from the Quaffle. He was good, there was no denying it. They had to fly fast and smart. They were almost to the Hoops. Leaning down on her broom, she coaxed all the speed she could from it. How she wanted to score. Granted, once they got there, they still had the Keeper to get past. But there was no time for negativity. She pushed forward. Determined to shine.

They were good at this. Too good. Cain whipped back around, spotting the Quaffle that the Second Year had just stolen from him and was passing to the First Year. He really needed to get their names when this was all over. "Old man? I'm barely fifteen, mind you! And I'll keep up just fine!" he called with a laugh. Quickly, Cain flew up to take the Quaffle once again.

Jess spotted it too! She wasn't too far behind him, but he was still ahead of her. Terren leaned closer to his broom, speeding up as he chased after the Snitch. This just got a lot more fun!

Ally was so concentrated on the hoops and wondering what the best strategy was to shoot past Corabell, that she didn’t see Cain swooping in until the last moment. He grabbed the Quaffle like a total pro, leaving Ally growling playfully and spinning around again. Looking to see that Elsie was following as well. It was going to take both of them. They had to keep the pressure on. Zooming past, both Seekers looked like they were on track for the Snitch. Who would get it first?

They were almost out of chances to show what they could do. ”We will see about that.” Ally giggled as she dove in for the Quaffle.

Elsie made a whining noise as Cain stole the quaffle back, and then Ally tried and failed to steal. She flew up to him herself, hoping to get lucky again. She'd stolen it from him before, hadn't she? She could do it again!.

Cain ducked and dodged, avoiding two steals in a row. He tucked the Quaffle closer to his body, vowing to keep it safe from the two little thieves behind him. The goals were getting closer and closer. The Chaser leaned into his broom, speeding down the Pitch as he approached them.

Jess had spotted the snitch, finally, which was good... But she was still a ways behind Terren! She put all her focus into speeding up as fast as possible and making sure she'd be ready to try and catch it. She wasn't that far away, after all, and now she had the snitch in her sights.

Both she and Elsie had failed to steal the Quaffle from Cain on the first try. He was good. But they weren’t about the let up. He was dashing across the field, Ally had to fly a tight and accurate path to keep up with his broom. But seeing an opening, she looked over to Elsie, signaling that she was going to make another attempt. They were younger but that didn’t mean that they couldn’t rise to the occasion. Ally went high and swooped downward, hoping the sharp angle would give her a better chance to grab at the Quaffle.

He was getting closer. The Snitch was literally right there! Glancing behind him, Terren smiled at Jess. "Good luck, Jess!" he called. Turning back, he inched towards the Snitch, closer and closer.

Ally whooped lightly as she came away cleanly with the Quaffle. ”Thanks for sharing, Gramps!” she continued to tease back. Obviously he was a young man and ridiculously agile and talented. It was a bit intimidating. Okay, A LOT intimidating. It was fun to try to have something to tease him while. All in the spirit of friendly competition of course.

Smirking across to Elsie, she tossed the Quaffle over, ”Let’s go, girlie!” And they streaked off for the other side of the field side by side.

Elsie could have shrieked in frustration at how Cain kept dodging them, but he had stolen it fair and square and it was up to them to get it back. And now Ally had just managed to steal it! She flanked the other girl, ready for the pass. This was going well. Their teamwork was smooth, almost like clockwork. Ally tossed it over, as she was predicting, and Elsie caught it and took off like a bat out of he- heck, of course. A bat out of heck.

Jess grit her teeth at seeing how close Terren was to the snitch. Ooh, she couldn't let him catch it! She sped up even more, wind buffeting her face. No, now he was inching toward it! Lying flat on her broom, chin almost hitting the wood, she soared closer and closer.
