❝Timothy couldn't believe that he had actually blocked the shot until he looked down to see the quaffle nestled in his hands. He broke out into a wide grin and saw in the distance his sister waving a blue flag (hopefully not with his name on it) and...was that Mira? No, it couldn't be, why would she even come to Ravenclaw tryouts? Shaking his head, he debated on who to throw it to this time before just lobbing it in Echo's general direction. ❞

spaceGypsy noticed movement down on the ground from the corner of her eye. Figuring that the two Seekers were unlikely to showcase any insane hidden talent while she was gone, she headed down to the ground, smiling at the pair who'd appeared. She recognized the nervous first year girl, Amelia, who'd wanted to be shown all the quiet corners and the greenhouses. And, of course, Cash. If it were possible for an expression to look sarcastic, she pulled it off, staring hard at the third year. "Yeah, yeah, Cash... get up there. If you want on the team, you'd better catch the snitch. Quick," she told him, though the sternness of her words was belied by he playful tone. She then turned to Amelia, expression thoughtful. She really didn't need another Seeker. At all. She sighed lightly, flagging down Xavier and his group. "Hey, this is Amelia," she told her Vice Captain. "She's going to join you guys with the Chaser tryouts. So, um... let's put Echo with her, since she's only a first year, and then Benjamin and Dylan. There's still only one Keeper, but, maybe they can try working as a team, passing back and forth and such," she said. Decision made and orders given, she mounted her broom once again and was back in the air to keep an eye on her Seekers.

His shot hadn't been too good...it was a shame really. Timothy had gotten to it, so Benjamin would support his teammate, even though they were competing at the moment. He didn't want his teammate to do badly...but he was the person in between him and the last spot. The boy went to throw it to Echo...and Benjamin went to go for the steal...right after Dylan actually, but soon was flagged down by Gypsy. A bit confused, he moved to meet the group that was already gathered down there. How long had they been down there? But as he got down there, he knew why.
He looked at the first year that was introduced. "Hello Amelia," he said to her, a smile on his face. First years was a good thing, despite it meaning more competition. He embraced the competition though. He figured out he would be working with Dylan this time around, which was fine, the boy was good...and they were around the same skill level. While...yes Echo was way better than the two of them, but he also had Amelia, who could be a prodigy, but was probably inexperienced. Inexperienced didn't always mean worse though; so he would have to still work hard.
He heard Dylan's words and solemnly nodded at them, returning a small smile to the kid. "We got this. Let's just work hard and maybe we'll get some goals," he said, hoping they did well. Now, the competition was on a team? He would make sure not to hog the ball though. Mainly because he knew that the captain won't look at just individual talent, but also the willingness to cooperate with a teammate.
