Lavinia watched a rather close block by their captain. Brook sure did know how to throw. When Benny passed the ball to first year in the group, she took her time to go after her. She wasn't going to underestimate the young eagle but she wasn't going to go full on either. Readying herself as she closed the distance between them, Lavinia attempted to steal the quaffle.

Lavinia managed to steal the quaffle and was back to heading for the goal. Blue team certainly had the advantage she felt. Granted Canaan could come by and take it from her. He was certainly capable after all.

Benny continued to watch on as the rest of the team played on. Being Keeper you got to see everyone do there thing. "Alright guys, that's it. Meet me on the ground." Ben called to the team when there time was up. Waiting for everyone to join him, Benny was sure that things went well. It had been good tryouts overall from what he could tell. "I want to thank you for coming out today. You all did really well out there. As for now you can expect the team to be posted in the coming days." He filled them in. Ben figured Laurel and him could pick the team easily enough.

Laurel trudged out onto the pitch, the trunk containing the balls in hand, broom over her shoulder. She wasn't looking forward to this and saw no reason to pretend like she was thrilled to be captain this year. She'd taken it because honestly she didn't want to be an arsehole to poor Ben, and because the team did need someone to actually run things, even if she doubted her leadership abilities. She was more of a 'lone wolf' sort of player. That said, quidditch had taught her something about working with others, and she did want people to want to join the team, not write it off because the new captain had a bad attitude. So she set up her things and settled in for a wait, hoping everyone had seen the flyers she posted around the common room, and wondering who the hell she was going to name as vice captain

Dwyn had been prepping for today. He could play actual quidditch! He knew his size limited his roles. The quaffle was as big as his head and a Beaters bat was nearly as long as he was tall! It didn't bug him though. He had his sights set on Seeker! He had to be more aerodynamic being as small as he was. He went to where there was some forms to fill not and he put what little experience he had on there. Holding it up high so the captain didn't need to bend so far, Dwyn went to go get a broom. The barrel was too tall so Dwyn pushed it over so he could drag the shortest broom out. He would try to stand it back up but he may need help there

Cenek was thrilled for quidditch this year. He would miss Loke the cheerleader seeker, but Cenek was in line to be the next seeker. Well, unless someone else wanted it, unless someone else would be better at it. But, he had high hopes for this year. he walked over to his sister, a bag of cookies in front of him, "Hey Brook, why the long face?" He held out the cookies, "I made these for you to enjoy. spaceNorah had greatly enjoyed Quidditch the previous year, even just as a reserve, so of course she was bound and determined to continue playing. Especially since she was pretty sure at least one of the chasers last year had been a seventh year. She might make first string this year! Lavinia wasn't sure if she was going to play her final year. She had exams to think about and multiple clubs to handle. With all that on top of Quidditch that didn't leave that much time for studying. Course something told her she should be there to help the team out. So, Lavinia headed down to the pitch on the extreme late side. "Sorry I'm late," Lavinia greeted everyone as she grabbed a form and scribbled her info down. Hopefully she'd be of some help this year and her grades wouldn't suffer for it.

Eitan hurried onto the pitch, having overslept and needing to dress for the occasion. So yeah, maybe he looked silly, but really, he needed to be covered from head to toe. Plus, well, it was bright, so he needed the sunglasses. And the sunhat. And the long sleeves. He was practically covered from head to toe. Which, whatever, fine. He had gotten Caden to try out, so now it was his turn. Grabbing a sheet, he filled it out and grinned as he handed it back, not bothering to hide his canines. His dad didn't hide who he was, neither did his Gram. He didn't see any reason to do it. "Hey! I thought I was going to be late! How are you? I can't wait to try out!".

Jordan practically sprinted out to the field. He'd managed to sleep in and miss breakfast AND he almost missed the start of tryouts. Luckily, he made it before too much action started up, though it kinda felt like his heart was going to explode. After taking a few calming breaths, Jordie went to the captain and grabbed one of the forms. He filled it out quickly, then handed it back. Once done with that, the blonde stepped over to the side and started doing stretches.
