She dare not breathe, she was so still.
Just as an angel cried for the slaughter,
Abraham's daughter raised her voice.
Then the angel asked her what her name was,
She said, "I have none."

Di's throw had been terrible; gods, she was rusty right now. She shot after Helena to try to steal back the quaffle, and some confidence.

Lena looked surprised when the older girl stole from her. Of course, she hadn't been the hardest of targets, but she thought she'd been doing good! The older girl passed to another first year, one whom Lena was pretty sure was called Tyler. A first year, she could hold a fair chance against! The brunette flew after him, reaching out to try for a steal.

Lena managed to keep a hold on the quaffle, hugging it to her chest as she raced through the air. She tucked lower to her broom, as she'd seen some of her favorite Pro-Quidditch players do. Her eyes were on the prize, or in this case, the goals. She just had to keep pushing forward!

Finally, finally Dris was close enough to the snitch to try and grab it. If he was really careful, plus really lucky, he could grab the Snitch and end this round of tryouts. He angled himself to easier reach, then stretched out his arm. His eyes narrowed, focusing entirely on the orb, then he swiped at it, hoping for a successful catch....

The bludgers were close--too close-- for comfort. He swerved one way, then the next, avoiding the first while the second was deflected by one of the beaters. Phew. He didn't think he would've missed that one. By now, Driskol was already on top of the snitch and all Gavin could do was race to try and catch up.

Dris swiped down, and it must have been at exactly the right moment. The cold feeling of metal landed in his palm. He slowed to a stop, then called out "I CAUGHT THE SNITCH!" He looked over at Gavin with a grin. "That was a really close race, good job, Gavin!" He grinned, waiting for further instruction from the Captain.
