A few years ago I went from 190 lbs to 160 lbs by cutting junk food and doing 30 minutes of cardio every day (and keeping track of it all in this guild 3nodding ).

Since going off to college, I no longer have access to the only form of cardio exercise I actually enjoy: dance dance revolution. As a result, I'm back up to ~175 lbs. :C And besides that, due to stress resulting from a very difficult major (physics), I've been eating more sweets than ever.

I had a wake up call today: measuring my waist for the first time in like a year... I've gained 3 inches! I have to put a stop to this now. gonk

Green is for totally healthy foods, or moderate foods in very small quantities.
Orange is for moderate foods, or unhealthy foods in very small quantities.
Red is basically something I should not have eaten, whether because it was too much of an unhealthy food, way too much of a moderate food, or having multiple small treats.

I will be ~trying~ my best to count calories, but I'm a college student so I eat out and at the cafeteria a lot. Not always possible. >.<;;; I'm aiming for between 1200 and 1400 per day

Comments:
Lesson learned: I need to look at the cafeteria's posted calorie list before I get my food. The half calzone looked so small and innocent. gonk It was actually listed at like 400 calories but I didn't eat a good amount of the crust.

Eating healthy at this cafeteria is a challenge, because it's all-you-can-eat buffet style. >____<;

Should have gone to the gym and ran but I seriously didn't feel like biking through the rain to get there confused

Overall, not a horrible first day. No desserts is a big step for me, especially considering how readily available they are at the cafeteria. whee

Also, wow... I need to start working on getting enough water again. I used to be really good at it...

I know I need a bigger breakfast... just haven't gotten a chance to go to the store and I'm out of special K bars =.=

Didn't realize that yogurt would put me over 1300 x.x oh well, still not too horrible of a day, food-wise. Probably could have done without that second half of the hamburger.

I had physics homework due this afternoon, so I kinda had to work on it nonstop today and I worked straight through lunch... ^^;;;;

Snack:
3 bites of ben & jerry's ice cream (like 150? LOL that s**t is so bad for you but tastes so good)
medium no sugar added mocha ice blended (140)

Dinner:
grilled bbq chicken breast (120?)
steamed broccoli (50?)
grilled white corn w/butter (125?)
3 ******** DELICIOUS buttery dinner rolls (uhhh like 600 probly? ******** it was worth it gonk Although, upon further inspection, I would have been way under the healthy limit of 1200 cal/day without them. Hm.)

WTF? Until I added up all those calories, I was sure I had gone over 1400.... gonk Also, DON'T SKIP MEALS, KIDS! Apparantly it's bad for your metabolism or something. That's actually the first time I've skipped a meal in like a year lmao. Also, CBTL's no-sugar-added ice blendeds seem way too good to be true. 140 calories for a delicious choco-coffee treat?!

We are the same weight! Good luck! I actually went up from 174 to 178 so I'm quite disappointed in my self. Keep up the good work and I hope you reach your goals! I'm trying hard too to get back in the swing of things.

Buhhh... My parents got chicken nuggets while I was out to dinner with my boyfriend, and I stupidly snacked on them when I got back. At least I got good exercise!

Wow... I did not have enough fruits or vegetables today. whee This next week is gonna be rough... I have 2 hard final exams on Thursday and 1 hard final exam on Friday, and tons of studying to do in between. I'm foreseeing too many sweets in the near future... but I think I won't' beat myself up about it too much as long as I can stay under 1600/day. Then once finals are over I'll go back to beating myself up over it if I go over 1400. ninja The bright side is that I'll be home for a week, so I have no excuse not to play DDR every day! :'D
