the other day I went to go buy cards. I had my scale with me and I was looking forward to getting some good cards. But I was yelled at for weighing the packs.
They were all really rude about it to. Not one said "sorry, but no scaling allow". Each time they snapped at me and at one store I straight up told a lady "f&%k you, you uppity b!^ch" because she was being one. They could at least sound in different about it. But whatever, they lost out on the 200$ I was going to spend. The store that let me scale made over 60$.
I spent hundreds of dollars on packs when I can. And buy the hard to find cards online.

LoL To keep up with all the new cards I need to spend money. I don't feel like losing money on a hobby. How much have you spent on the game. I spent thousands and didn't lose a dime. I have 300$ in my yugioh bank account and yes, I have an account for my hobby. I don't care if someone loses out on a few ultra rares. If you want an ultra rare card, buy online, don't waste your money on gambling.

It's personal belief, if anything. If they don't like it and want to be rude about it, sucks for them, because their treatment just lost a customer.
Brush it off, flip them the bird, and shop elsewhere.

i thought konami fiddled with the card weights so that doesn't work anymore. I've seen people scale dozens of packs and get packs with just a silver plate rare and have them be the same weight as ones with ultimate and ultra rares.

Yea, I tried scaling once. Didn't really work.
So after that I got a sealed box and as I opened each pack, I scaled them and recorded their weights and what I pulled.
The pack weight didn't seem to correspond to the what I pulled.
And this is back when Ancient Prophecy was out.

most places arn't worried about loosing 1 costumer 3nodding
Last time I got a pack, me and a friend each got 1 and the last 2 in box, I don't know how weighing works (and I don't care so please don't bother explaining) but I took the one that weighed less
I got 3 cards and my friend got the other cards I was supposed to get

deity of crystals someone please explain the point of weighing supposedly holos weigh a fraction of a fraction more than regular rares, and that scaling will tell you which 1 weighs more for a higher chance of getting a holo. Though i gotta take the store owner's side on this one. Its not fair for everyone else, and i'd rather lose one customer than 5 or 6. And if they even let you choose the pack thats already nice enough, i've been to stores where i buy a pack and they just gimme a random one.

I don't scale just because I have MONSTROUS LUCK on my side.
Examples include:
Pulling these ultimate rares in the same month (while only spending about $40): True six - Enishi The Creator Bambooshoot Grow up bulb
As well as a ghost rare shooting star dragon.
I've recieved ultimate rare Revived King Ha Des and Doomkaiser dragon in the SAME SINGLE $5 PACK.
I've also recieved 2 ghost rare Dragon knight drago-equites in consecutive 2 boosters (when only buying 3).
I don't need to spend much to find great cards, it's just lucky for me.

Junk 1t most places arn't worried about loosing 1 customer You're incredibly wrong. If explaining in a manner suitable to the customer that they uphold a policy in which they feel what the customer is doing is wrong, it makes all the difference. Etiquette makes money when done right, and the business Would have kept their consumer if they had simply addressed the manner respectfully. To think that business doesn't care about customer relations when profit is totally dependent on it, is wrong.

Most stores do care about their relations with their customers especially small family/ private owned stores. I'll give you an example store A allows you to pick your own pack and will let you play test in their area till the close. Store B throws you a random pack and sends you off on your way. What would you choose? Mustard you can rip apart my post.
