Have you tried using peppermint/mint oil/extract for your headaches? I know it helps me with mine.
And no, I never smoked. Just thought I would suggest the mint/peppermint since it works and I think it would help.

I have been munchin on peppermint sticks and drinking mint teas. They haven't worked, I doubt the oil will work. But I will try it, everything is worth trying. Thanks for the suggestion. =)

Smoking almost killed my grandma, she got lung cancer. Luckily she survived but they took one of her lungs. I hated being addicted to those things, they make everything stinky, stain your teeth, and it's a waist of money. I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. =c

Congrats for quitting smoking! I've been trying off and on for the past year, but when I try to ween myself off of them I keep giving myself excuses to smoke (stress, stress, stress).
I quit successfully for a little over a year, and what helped me the most was knowing that there was someone in my life that was supportive of my decision and would always do what she could to help me through it. Then we faded away, and I started smoking again shortly afterwards. >.>
I've heard that sucking on hard candy when you feel a migraine coming on can help the majority of the pain, and with regards to smoking, just keeping your mind off of cigarettes is the best defense. I had a pseudo-hippie professor that told us that the way to quit smoking was not envision yourself as a smoker, and to alleviate it from your persona. Sounds a little silly, but it is helpful. Just think about the bums on the street picking up butts for tobacco, all the rotten teeth, and the terrible hackers and think, I don't want to be anything like that.
I know, practice what you preach, but I'm working on it. 3nodding

Good luck! I hope that you can do it and I realize how hard it is to quit smoking because my grandad tried and couldn't do it.
My grandad had lung cancer and I am convinced that he got that because of his smoking.

Good luck with quitting! I've never smoked before, so I wouldn't really know what it's like to quit.
Don't drink Coffee to try and get rid of a migraine btw, the caffine only makes it worse :O

[~+~] You did scare the crap out of me with the title of this thread. xD;
But good luck on quitting though. ;D My Mum quit, it must have been many years ago now - but she said the only way she could do it was to go cold turkey, and after a while you just stop craving them. She always complained when she tried the patches or the gum, as she said "the gum tasted horrible and it was a waste of money". xD;
And as others have suggested, i would try chewing on hard sweets, or gum to distract yourself and keep headaches at bay.

I found that coffee + two aspirins + a nap + Peppermint oil = headache relief. It sucks, I hate these blasted headaches. And since I haven't been smoking my road rage is horrible. =c I'm sure it will pass, I mean the cravings should go away soon.
