TDM Fundraising :]

Hey lovely ladies.

Some of you gals might remember the event we had last year where we raised funds for two charities. Well this year, I'm going on a smaller scale. I'm raising funds for TDM (The Daffodil Movement.)

TDM is a user run event in which we raise awareness of several cancers/cancer in general. There are several teams, each of which hold their own contests, get togethers, chats. It's tons of fun, and I encourage everyone to check it out.

The event doesn't start until April, but we're trying to get some funds together early.

Which brings me to my point of this thread, I'm taking up donations. You can either send them directly to me, and at the end of March I'll be sending them to TDM or you can donate to the TDM mule. Either ways is great. I'd like it though, if you donate to the mule, let me know, in a PM. I want to keep track of how much is donated from you gals, and keep a list of donators.

they use the gold for contests that they run.
the point of the event is to raise awareness to cancer.

each team has their own contests.

at the end of the event, whichever team has the most team spirit wins a RL 10/15 dollar donation to their team's organization.

Basically they set up threads on Gaia with information on different cancers (each team is a different cancer) and in order to raise awareness, they do competitions, on Gaia, in order to keep people interested (as such), hence raising more awareness.

i actually don't think it's such a good idea then cause like if your usin gold to make contests for ppl, won't ppl be more intrested of the gold than helpin out cancer and all? o__o it sorta seems like ur bribing (or however you spell it) them

Not really.
The contests are all cancer based.

Like avi contests. You have to base them around team colors and such. Not really bribing.

And honestly, when you're looking at a page, that has a s**t ton of things concerning cancer, then you're obviously a little more aware of the subject. Soooo, yeah.

At the end of the day, the fact that people have even read the title of the thread (which will be stating some sort of cancer) it is still raising more awareness of it really if you think about it. x3
