Hey.. Um.. I am going to be taking the Bronze level for the DoE in the next year.. and can't really think of anything for a service.. I'm not a people person so that rules out most of the things to do. Lol, sorry if it seems selfish/rude/whatever of me, but I honestly don't get along with other people.. that well, anyway...

Volunteer in a charity shop, that's what I did. It's not like anybody ever goes in them anyway.

Can I give you a piece of advice, though? QUIT. GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN.

Mmmm Duke of Edinburgh Awards...... that involved camping out on the school field and pretending you were Sir Edmund Hillary if I remember rightly... all calor gas and rugged expressions smile

Now if there were worthwhile expeditions such as "The quest for rare real ales in a county of your choice..." wink

I live next-door to a social worker, so i'll ask him, he knows people. xD I'm sure he can help..

what about working with animals? In an... animal recovery, or strays, centre? -shrugs-

I did a care of animals course and helped out at a stables.

A lot of people volunteered at charity shops and Brownies.

Queen Scout, eh? Good luck; I gave up after getting my Chief Scout Award (which was nothing special >_>). Did not see the point in any DoEs, to be honest.

you could possibly do a first aid course, thats what some of my friends did, I however did not do Bronze D of E, when you start you may understand why! xd But anyway, just enjoy it!

We have a CCF at our school (combined cadet force) Army, Navy, RAF

Im in the Army Cadets (the best one)

Were learning section attacks and weapons drill at the moment, the RAF are on camp learing to fly, and the navy are sailing around in the Corvette we have.

It's the most fun i've ever had, and the people there are great.

Rather beats our educational surroundings, I'm not sure a CCF unit is compatable with a Catholic school.

Hey Invictus, I go to a catholic school too.

i wanted to do DoE, but i never had the time. I might try to do the gold next year (6th form) if its wothwhile.
