Don't ask how I came to these conclusions:

Balmung: Fluffy puppy
Azure Kite: Badger or Mongoose
Haseo: Red panda
Sakisaka: Lemur or Wild boar

Technically, they're all animals anyway.
But Haseo would be a cat, I think. Piros would be a dog. None of them are a platypus, sadly.

Hm. No. Taihaku does not posses the awesomeness present in the platypus. They have POISONOUS SPURS. Is that not freaking awesome?

That wouldn't make much sense since platypuses are born with them. Also, I'm pretty sure Taihaku's foe for housing is not bunnies.
...Freaking bunnies. Their burrowing makes it impossible for the platypus to make their little burrowy hole things. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE PLATYPUS ISSUES. BUNNIES. scream

Okay, how would Pi be a bunny? Bunnies are kind of nice and cowardly, and Pi is anything but that. I mean, she's kind of a cranky old hag.
