Driverless electric van cruises 8,000 miles from Italy to China without stopping for directions

This is awesome stuff. I've been somewhat following this kind of technology for a while now and it just keeps on getting better!

Jacque and the movement as a whole talks a lot about how in the future you'll never have to 'own' anything if you don't want. That storing something is a burden (which I agree with whole heartedly. I've moved 4 times in the past 4 years and hauling s**t around SUCKS!) and if you want something, you can simply call up a distribution centre (a car dock?) and the car will be available for pick up or it can come straight to your house and pick YOU up. I think this is great evidence to where this type of service is heading. Same goes for public transportation as well. ... Now if we can only figure out the energy crisis! lol.
