It is a very good Naruto game. You get a team with slots for ninja. The slots are :

Your first ninja, is the one you pick that is a genin from any village in part I. Then you get his or her sensei (add to the jonin slot) And you go off learning how to play the game. You eventually gain enough Ryo to buy ninja and summons, even their abilities.
The game is very good and I advise you all to give it a try.

how do i tell how much hp my guys have left?

Your character is defeated when the enemy rolls a higher attack than you. Meaning if your alot higher a level they have no chance of beating you unless you beat like 4 ninjas straight.

Ahh good.
Try and the slugs summon from the southern leaf village. It makes your ninjutsu attacks better, and your team uses ninjutsu mostly.
