Okay, so I've liked this guy for almost three years now...and he is three years older than me. He dated a friend of a friend for a while, and my friend claims to have seen him hurting her...I dont know if that is really what happened or anything...Any suggestions?

You have lived with this guy for three years. Has he ever done anything to you? I would say go on personal experience because you can never tell if what they are saying is true or not without documented proof.

If you have lived with him for three years, i'm sure you can make the judgement for yourself.
Unfortunately, it is always possible that your friend lied about it for one reason or another, or simply misinterpreted the situation. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep a look out.
If at any point you suspect an inappropriate behaviour, just make your feelings very clear and always be prepared. :3

Where is everyone getting lived with? The author wrote that she has liked a guy for 3 years. Just trying to clear up a spelling error.

[~+~] Oh dear. This shows how out of it i am tonight. rofl
Hm. I think i'll stick with my earlier reply though. Trust your own judgement, however, always be wary just in case. And if any of your friends start to strongly object, as they may observe him treating you badly, go with them.
It's the whole Bro's over Ho's. (I think that was the saying... ;>_> )

Personally, just because im this way, I would ask the friend if she's being hurt and if she is, offer her information like battered women's shelter for example.
Or if you suspect it and she's not willing to admit to it, leave your number with her and say she can call you if she feels threatened, or tell her she should call 911.
Many abused ppl feel it's their fault and some have a hard time admitting to it. In my mom's generation, it was 'you don't talk about it, you keep it at home.'
