I have no idea why, but the melodrama (delicious, not bad melodrama) almost cracked me up in some points. Like Tohru's big NOOOO before he chomps on Yuuki. And doctorface crossing the moral event horizon with his (I mean, jesus christ) experimenting on and cutting up his dead wife made me cheer for the manga not being afraid to throw crazy-a** plot/characterisation bits out there. But still so inappropriate! That cheerfulness of mine! ]
Tohru is the biggest derp. I'd totally hug it out with him if it weren't for the fact that he's fictional and well, you know.
Anyway, I am also loving the way the fanart is almost equally halved into kawaii desu and aaaaangst.
