Also on the newer ones it doesn't play ps2 games as I've heard and I do wish to play RE:com on a ps3 if I ever get one so that's another reason why it's crappy.

I don't have an Xbox or a ps3 so I will have to decide which one to get. With the ps3 I can play God of War 3, but with the Xbox, I can play Halo: Reach... tough choice for me.

There is actually a ps3 that can play ps2 games; however, it cost a lot more money(i guess depending on where you buy it also). I just kept my ps2 instead of trading it in and spending more money

Yeah. Mine works fine...Just like my DS. Besides..It would be cool to have a Kingdom Hearts game for Wii instead of DS because of the bigger screen & more stuff they can put on it.
