I'm about to write a trilogy, each one rife with powerful themes and great power!...Well, okay, I'm just writing because I got some cool ideas and if I don't share them, they will die. So, this forum will be established to help everyone understand the awesome universe I will be creating.

The universe this trilogy shall be wrapped up in is known as the "PAU Universe". In said universe, an organization known as The PAU(Stands for Protection And Understanding) keeps humanity protected from supernatural beings that wish to destroy humanity. Unlike most agencies that protect normal humans, the PAU have forged long-standing alliances with supernatural beings that ensure there are never problems with manpower, resources, etc. The PAU are the ultimate "good guy" organization, with every move they make made for the betterment of all.

At the top of this organization are the powerful Elites. Named for their awe-inspiring, god-like power, the Elites are called in to deal with threats the normal soliders of the PAU cannot handle. When they're called in, they're on the first wave in and the last wave out. Every Elite is ranked according to his or her level of power, with the top Elite being the leader of The PAU, a man named "Fish". Obviously, that's not his real name, as secrety is more important then life near the top of The PAU. Second ranked is the man who briefs all of his fellow Elites, Wayne(Unlike Fish, he cares little for keeping secrets). And third is the most powerful Elite who still enters the field regularly, a man who calls himself The Undying.

The Undying showed almost no emotion throughout his career, except towards one person-Selena, an Elite with the power to transform herself into half-human, half-animal forms. The Undying trained her, teaching her powerful techniques of swordplay, as well as tempering her power to an awesome degree. But then, disaster struck...

A powerful mage of Mental Magic(Magic that messed with the minds and thoughts of others), named Clash Sinnerhawk, tainted Selena's mind and forced her to serve the PAU's counter organization, known only as The Fortress. Her knowledge of the PAU's inner workings could potenially destroy the fragile peace that the PAU was working so hard to keep alive...

Now, The Undying, fed up at The PAU's inaction, has gone AWOL. He will search for Selena, find a way to unlock the Fortress's control on her mind, and save the PAU from an unwilling traitor. That is the way this trilogy begins-The Trilogy of Judgement.

Trilogy Setup:

Abandon your Hatred: The Undying, still raging at the PAU's inaction, must ask for the support of allies he never knew he had.

Admit your Guilt: The Undying will battle Clash Sinnerhawk and learn the only way to save Selena from her wretched fate.

Accept your Innocence: The final confrontation between The Undying and Selena will leave one (or both!) dead...will The Undying slaughter his love? Will Selena slay her mentor without remorse? Or will both be buried next to each other, heroic memories left forgotten?...

Characters:

Good Guys:

The Undying:A warrior of unsurpassed ability, he has let his emotions get the better of him. Currently branded as AWOL by The PAU, every Elite with an itchy sword hand and something to prove is on his tail. Good luck catching a man that bends the universe to his will, but he at least humors his pursurers before showing them how much business he means. His preferred weapon is a short sword blessed with the power to change into any weapon he has seen before.

Faelean:An elfin master of magic who saved The Undying's life when he was stranded on Lyndria(a world of magic and mystery beyond Earth). She possesses many of the same powers as The Undying, but prefers to use them in the instruction of others instead of destroying evil beings. However, she recognizes The Undying's love for Selena, and won't hesitate to use her power to help him in his quest to save Selena. She does not use a weapon.

Krious: A massively powerful warrior who commands a demonic army called The Hellspawn Empire. In the past, The Undying defeated Krious, and then reset time so that Krious would never turn evil. While he is thankful for The Undying's help, he realizes that he has 1000 years of sin to repent for, and is willing to spend that same amount of time saving the universe by The Undying's side. His preferred weapon is a massive, Buster Blade sized sword that is jagged. This weapon is what allows him to command his demonic army.

Bad Guys:

Selena: While currently enslaved by powerful mental magicks, Selena was originally an a**-kicking tomboy who grew up without a mother. Her father's experiments into the realm of Nature Magic ended up destroying their home and forcing Selena to exist as a half-human, half-animal hybrid. The Undying saved Selena from failing into the Fortress's hands soon afterwards, and he then decided to teach her about her power and about swordplay. She prefers her double dagger style, allowing quick attacks and fast parrys.

Extra Notes:

The ally that The Undying never knew he had is Krious. Currently, neither knows that the other is alive.

The PAU has the ability to jump worlds, going from Earth to any world they know of. Most require powerful technology to jump worlds. A few powerful ones, like the Undying, can use magic.

Magic and technology are heavily intermingled, especially thanks to The PAU's R&D department and the line of "Magitek" items they have created.

Many Elites prefer melee weapons to ranged weapons. Hunter (One of the Elites sent after The AWOL Undying) uses a bow as well as his vast array of melee weapons, but he's an exception.

Please comment on either this post, or the story posts that are coming soon.

wahmbulance IMHO, Krious has already destroyed your story. He has too many holes in his background for you to get started just yet. One: they fixed time so that he never became evil. So, what 1,000 years is he atoning for? Two: it is interesting too that he commands a legion of demons despite never having turned to the darkside--unless they're just a part of the army of supernatural beings that work for PAU... In which case, you should probably call them demons from the onset. That way, readers won't assume you're talking about something else. Three: The Undying defeats him, resets time to stop him from becoming evil... and absolutely nobody remembers it happened at all? Did we need to know that either then, being it technically never happened? Four: if they can manipulate time and fix his problem, then can't they go back in time to keep Selena from being taken over and thusly end most everything in just one book?

These could be serious issues and it only takes one flaw to ruin an entire book. However, I think everything else fits in pretty well and if you can trim these down to size then you'll have yourself a gem. 3nodding

Hm. You raise a good point. The purpose behind this post was so that I could at least share some ideas. I think that instead of doing this trilogy, I think I'll rewrite the old Shattered Soul story. It details the Undying's entry into the PAU, and explains a bit about his past. What say ye all?

That sounds good. Afterwards, anything you'd need for your trilogy will already be worked out so you'll have no bumps to look for--they'll all be smoothed out, as far as the past is concerned. That, in turn, should make writing your trilogy a heck of a lot easier too, because most of the characters will already be developed.
