If any of you friends have a subscription to Shonen Jump then they probably got the "new" Obelisk, the one that says it's effect, right? and if you've dueled them other then over powering it, it's unkillable right? Well I've been looking and it's easy to kill it, or make it your own. Cards like Lightning Vortex don't target Obelisk making Obelisk able to be killed by it or if your opponent has nothing on their field other then Obelisk, use Creature Swap, your not targeting it, your opponent SELECTED it themselves because they had to. So yeah... kind of stupid but thought you guys would want to know.

True I'm actually sure there are at least half a dozen members who think Obelisk is unstoppable.  Well first of all if they Normal Summon Obelisk you cannot negate the summon or activate cards like Bottomless Trap Hole, Trap Hole, Torrential Tribute etc. If they Special Summon it though you can activate them. It cannot be targeted by card effects so you have to stick to cards like Lightning Vortex, Torrential tribute on a different summon, Smashing Ground, Hammer Shot, Creature Swap or simply by battle.

I never have thought obelisk was, if anything Slifer is the best, Ra is suicidal and Obelisk only has 4000 atk...

Yeah... of the three's legalized effects (considering 'World Championship 2010' for legal effects), Slifer is definitely the most beastly of the three god cards. Along with standard god card effects, it's 1000 x cards in hand and auto-destroys monsters summoned that have 2000 or less DEF, making Sphinx Rock one of the few decks capable of actually countering it at all.
