The nation we know as America has been destroyed. In this post apocolyptic world, a totilatarian government has arose to take its place, the nation of Panem. It once consisted of 13 districts, until District 13 rebeled. The Capitol District decided to nuke the place, compltely destroying the resistance.

There are 12 Districts now, each in service to the Capitol. The greed of the Capitol causes it to take up all of the natural resources of the districts. The people of Panem live on the bare minimum for survival.

To make matters worse, every year 12 boys and 12 girls, one from each district are forced to compeate in a reality show where they fight to the death, resulting in only one victor. 1 boy and 1 girl are chosen at random in the annual Reaping. It is a way to strike fear into the hearts of the people, to punish them for 13's past rebelion, to supress them.

-Rules-

1. Killing other's characters in encouraged. That is how you win The Hunger Games.
2. Follow the ToS
3. Please read The Hunger Games first, if you can. But if you really do have a good grasp at whats going on here.... go ahead and post your profile. Read some Cliffnotes, I guess they're good enough.
4. Please include details on your character's Reaping.
5. When killing another character, please do it directly, not through an even created by a Gamemaker or something ((i.e avalance, flash flood))
6. To keep it more interesting, you may have only have one character.
7. If you wish to stay with the storyline after your character dies, you may take on the role of a Gamemaker.
8. In the role of a Gamemaker, you can create events that challange the contestants left in the arena. This is not an actual character. You may not kill a character directly, but you may cause action leading to thier death.

A Gamemaker post should look something like this:

The girl knelt by the quiet lake, seeing that no one else was around. There was a disturbance in the water.... something rose out of the murky water. A group of savage Muttations......

10. Do not godmod or puppeteer, you cannot say anything about another character's actions when createing an event, and only Gamemakers can create these events.

I forgot about this. ._____. I'm not sure if I can manage this thread, but I'll try. I'm busy with another RP...

... The 8th graders at my school (FYI, I'm a junior, it has both high school and middle school. :3) just did a mock Hunger Games today, because they're reading the book. My class had nothing to do today because it's the end of the marking period, so we went outside and watched them. xD It was kind of like a live-action role play. The Seniors get to read it to, I hope I get to do that next year. ^_^
