Trying to progress more with anatomy in different poses from different angles.
Hence the mannequin-ness of my WIP, trying to be as careful as possible with this one.

Try using shapes rather than lines.

Look at how the simple 3d shapes make the figure. Try working from real figures yourself. Use magazines if you can't get a friend to stand still for you.

Remember the underlying anatomy ... The little skeleton is a good thing to set up the gesture, but you need to establish it more before drawing the form on top. Remember that she has a ribcage, pelvis, organs and muscle all organized under the skin.

I just wanted to address the issue of balance in the image, I'm not sure what she is doing completely, but it sort of looks like she is half in step right now. If she has all her weight on one leg, then the body would drift more to having the leg in center alignment with the body to keep it balanced.
