WARNING: THIS IS NOT A COMPETITIVE DECK. THIS IS MEANT TO BE A CASUAL / FUN DECK.

Okay, so this is a deck based upon the concept of Chain Links, though not to be confused with the Iron Chain archetype.

DECK: 42

Monsters: 20

Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind x1
Blast Asmodian x3
Combo Fighter x3
Combo Master x2
Dark Armed Dragon x1
Iris, the Earth Mother x2
Lightning Punisher x1
Man Beast of Ares x3
Phantom Skyblaster x3
Plaguespreader Zombie x1

Spells: 10

Chain Strike x2
Chain Summoning x2
Fires of Doomsday x1
Miraculous Rebirth x2
Mystical Space Typhoon x1
Mystical Wind Typhoon x2

Traps: 12

Accumulated Fortune x2
Chain Detonation x2
Chain Healing x2
Dust Tornado x3
Mirror Force x1
Ultimate Offering x2

Extra Deck:

The entire strategy of the deck is to continuously respond to cards without chains going any higher than Spell Speed 2, which is the ONLY reason that cards like Dark Bribe aren't being used. In essence, if the deck works as intended, it could very well operate crazy fast, chaining face-down traps and spells from in the hand.

My goal in building the deck was to cram as many Spell Speed 2 cards into the deck as possible, minimizing Spell Speed 1 cards that cannot chain to anything, and eliminating Spell Speed 3 cards that would make it so all of the base chaining cards would immediately stop working.

Feel free to rate the deck, give constructive criticism, and all that!

"Ok I love this deck I have always wanted to make a chain deck like this, but I don't have enough confidence in my abilities to make it. So to chain someone activates a trap card you can then chain all those quick spells by flipping them., and is chain 2 the first card you chain? or the second?

Here's the official way it works. If someone activates a spell/trap card, you can respond with a spell/trap of your own. From there, the first card activated is Chain Link 1 whilst the card you activated right after is considered Chain Link 2. Therefore, under ideal conditions, you would have to play a minimum of 2 spell/trap cards to get as high as Chain Link 4, which most cards in the deck require, and you'd have to do it BEFORE a Spell Speed 3 card (a.k.a. a Counter Trap) becomes activated within the chain.

That means that, until a card comes out that negates the effects of all Counter Trap cards on the field, a proper chain deck will never be more than a fun deck.

Not a lot of practical counter trap cards though.

"In comparison to the whole mess of trap cards as a whole.
I knew about some of those. But in an average deck there shouldn't be a lot. I might run 3 tops"
