Strength of Words
Words are an art,
One that I simply can’t explain.
Their beauty comes from the heart,
And their meaning from the brain.
It’s hard to fully understand,
How some words spread far and wide.
Some ideas will expand,
Until they’ve become worldwide.
Some words, on the other hand,
Will hide away in the dark.
They’ll just refuse to take a stand,
And cause that special spark.
All words have meaning, though,
Different for me than you.
It doesn’t matter how much you know,
One thing will always remain true:
Words inspire people to do crazy things,
If the right words are spoken.
Words can even grow you wings,
But they also can leave some hearts broken.
Listen to the words around you,
Try to understand them, too.
The things they say are often lies,
But they’re just as often true.
