Is it just me or is SoulSilver extremely easy?
On the third day of playing the game for the first time, I already had 6 out of 8 of my badges. D:
Its not really difficult or challenging..
For those of you who had the original, was it the same?

well it was indeed and id like to thank gyarados for that.....XD

and i think it was harder back then cause then we dident know what we know now

Exactly. But I didnt have the original and I could easily pass the game right by.. I mean my starter beat everyone I battled with 3 attacks or less!!! With the exception of Karen.. I hate her.. v.v And now I have to beat Lance.. which is hard, I must say. Thats like the only two hard ones for me. What about you guys out there who didnt post r.r?

Well I guess it depends what you call harder or easier..
The older versions were harder to some extent, but if you had a psychic type you basically beat the game. neutral (red,blue, yellow)
Then came along gold/silver/crystal were I believe dark/psychic types were dominant? Dont remember I forget. sweatdrop
But to be honest I think they are dumbing down almost every game. So they can attract the more casual crowd. Get them selves more money.
Not just the makers of pokemon, but other gaming companies are doing the same.

i played bpth of the new games and they are easy like my 2nd or 3rd day i got 7 out of 8 badges (on gold) but when i got my soulsilver it already had every badge on the game and alot of rare pokemon (I thouht my friend told me that it was new)

If I played the way I normally play pokemon games I could have gotten the 8 badges in around 12 to 17 hours. But it gets slightly more challenging after the elite four and into Kanto. Then there is also a re-battle of the Elite four in this one I believe. Not sure. I'm still at my first go around of the Elite four. I could go challenge them, but I'm being nervous and cautious, so I'm stuck training. And a lack of time to do so comes in to play. But this play through I got the first 8 badges in around 23-24 hours. In the old one I think I beat the game and trained all the pokemon I wanted to the high 70's low 80's and couple 100's in 37 hours. I then spent 20 hours just wandering around towns and talking to all the gym leaders again.

Hopefully Pokemon Black/White will be a little bit more challenging.

And in some cases raising them and doing the sidequests if you're into those things.

21:43 and I had beat the first E4 xD in soul silver

I too have blown through the game..now I am on the second Elite 4 and am very close to beating it..well somewhat. I can get to Lance, kill his Salemence, but that's it.

Been playing for two days, taking my sweet time.

It's fairly easy. Without making any effort to get particularly powerful pokemon, my team can easily take down any trainer first try without a single faint.

Even teams of level 35+ pokemon.

Only thing so far that has made me mad is the dewgongs that just use rest over and over and over and over and over and over.
