I need plot help good people! A new generation (our OCs) have grown up with their dragon partners... and that's all I have. Kinda lame. Any ideas would be vastly appreciated.
Years ago a noodle-armed viking by the name of Hiccup decided he did not want to kill dragons. The village of Berk hasn't been the same since. Kids have grown up loving dragons, and taking one on as a 'partner' has become common-place. Hiccup has grown up and had children of his own, becoming the village chief. His father, now retired, still doesn't feel quite comfortable around the beasts.
The species of dragons has increased from just a few to a huge number of them. The Vikings live in peaceful harmony with dragons...mostly.
Many dragons have flown off the island, not returning. Nobody thought anything of it until a few partners went missing. Which was huge in itself, as most dragons who had a partner were inseparable. Some even hunted together... this was wrong. Something was happening to the dragons. It wasn't until a Zippelback was found wheezing on the shore, missing the igniter head that the people of Berk knew they had to do something.
The village of Berk needs a hero to rise again and help save the island from whatever may be out there. While the adults are more concerned with keeping the youngest children safe and keeping the village fed, they look to the young teens with their trained dragons to help figure this out. What will you choose? Will you live peaceably in the home, will you be daring and brave to find out what is stirring the earth, or will you even live on your own with your dragon?
