i don't see a need for 3 celestia. 2 is fine. the battle faders are iffy, but i can understand having them for when jd dies and it was the only thing you had on your field.

shire is bad tech. add more lyla.

sangan i can understand, but it's not needed. add more lyla.

morphing jar? add more wulf.

ehren? add more wulf.

avarice is bad tech on a deck that wants deck thinning. add 2 monster reincarnation and take out the third aurkus aswell.

that puts your deck at 41 instead of 43. add a third trap stun, ryko or monster reincarnation for 42 cards, the optimum limit for lightsworn deck thickness.

wel I only have one wulf so I can't add them right now and some of these cards I don't have but I like it so for now these are helping me out and I am winning most of my duels

yeah the guy has a good point an im not sure if i saw the lumina or not but im to lazy to check p.o.a. is ok tech i like it just in case u want to put back the wulfs so u can celstia again or if u nee an honest 3 gareth i think u will mill yourself out before anything happens i like 2 gareths 3 lylas 2 erin (monk) 3 wulf 1 arkus and 2 or 3 ryko since that damn dog can pop any card on the field

Would you look at Caius in a Monarch build and say "two is fine"? No, you wouldn't. Celestia is an optimal play in Lightsworn, as more of the dominant field retriever in the deck.

axean

Questionable, but doubtful in success, since it does nothing when milled like Necro Gardna does, and nothing when dumped by Beckoning Light like Necro Gardna does. Gorz the Emissary of Darkness is like in most builds a more notable form of field presence when field presence isn't there.

axean
shire is bad tech. add more lyla.
Good tech with Archlord Kristya involved, with a potential of reaching 3100 attack upon summon, otherwise your statement is agreed.

axean
sangan i can understand, but it's not needed. add more lyla.
Sangan is an optional form of search that Lightsworn with anything else can use to make up for Charge of the Light Brigade being limited. I would test beforehand, but no, it's not exactly needed.

axean
morphing jar? add more wulf.

ehren? add more wulf.
Triple Wulf, with the mill limited making it more of a dead draw than ever, and yet you want to cut down on Celestia? One goes with the other, however 3 Celestia and 1-2 Wulf is the best monster line. Ehren is also amazing this format.

axean
avarice is bad tech on a deck that wants deck thinning. add 2 monster reincarnation and take out the third aurkus as well.
One Pot of Avarice is not recommended, but optional. 1 Monster Reincarnation alongside the Beckoning Lights is plenty.

axean

None of those need to be at 3, and Trap Stun isn't needed at all.

OP:

3 Celestia, Lightsworn Angel
3 Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress
2 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
2 Jain, Lightsworn Paladin
2 Wulf, Lightsworn Beast
2 Judgment Dragon
2 Honest
1 Shire, Lightsworn Spirit
1 Ehren, Lightsworn Monk
1 Aurkus, Lightsworn Priest
1 Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior
1 Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner
1 Necro Gardna
1 Archlord Kristya
1 Plaguespreader Zombie

3 Solar Recharge
1 Charge of the Light Brigade
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Monster Reincarnation
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Cold Wave
1 Brain Control
1 My Body as a Shield

2 Beckoning Light
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Mirror Force
1 Trap Dustshoot

You can change it around from there - whether you prefer a Gorz over Kristya, or even Shield Warrior over Shire.

This baffles me, how can you run lightsworn beatdown, without their best beatstick?

What the hell seriously.

Gragonith, is who I'm talking about it, in case you forgot.

Who said Ehren is bad tech?

I'm playing Ehren in a deck that's NOT LS.

gargonith sucks hard.

And freeds build = yes -a lyla, celestia or ryko + a card trooper

Card Trooper is horrible.

Freed the Benevolent
Card Trooper is horrible.

A couple people have topped Regional's here with a mained Trooper.

To make up for the lack of mill made by Charge of the Light Brigade. However, it'd be better to do without. Synergy is still everything, and while Card Trooper gets you the same mill as every staple Lightsworn member, one draws a card and the other gets a name for Judgment Dragon in a deck where the goal is to keep the mill at a consistency. Your call.

It's silly to say "it's good" just because you see a list top with it, because to be frank, the very least 50% lists are bogus and stupid. It's also at a time closer to the next National Championship where all of the good players and the good decks have already earned their invite. This is just the period where you get to see whatever's left behind get a chance.

I never said it's good, I wouldn't play it in LS.

Just saying other people don't think it's horrible either.

It's a beatdown deck, not a generic lightsworn deck. Why the hell wouldn't you have a 1 tribute 4000 attack piercing monster in it? neutral

Because it's still a bad card, with Lightsworn Beatdown stilla bad tactic. If you think about the name without looking at the deck, you're going to assume it's different, and suggest poorly to it.

But look at the list - it's Lightsworn. Not a beat-down meant to summon monster after monster until your opponent has no Life Points left never loosening the field, it's Lightsworn. The names are there, Judgment Dragon is there, the Spell and Trap lineup almost fits that of standard. This isn't wholly Lightsworn Beatdown, but the OP's adjustment of the standard to the new list.
