You ought to move on. There will be plenty of better guys out there. :3
If you really do want him back, boys tend to notice when you ignore them, so try doing that. Don't talk to him, don't wave to him, don't say "Hi" or anything like that. He might realize he misses you and ask you back out.
The best thing is to move on since chances are, he has moved on, too. Harsh truth, but you gotta deal with it.

Wait it out, go have fun. Wait out how long you guuys were together and if you still miss him then see if he might think about going out with you again.
