True Mate
I see so much kindness,
So much desire,
Radiating from your eyes
As you gaze upon me
Who knew that a bond like ours,
A true mating bond,
Would ever feel so good?
You make the clouds go away
Even in the darkest of storms
And you make illness disappear
With just the slightest of loving caresses
Such trust emanates from you
As you take my hands into yours
And pull me close to your chest
I can feel your heart beating,
Singing out my name.

Okay, after reading many examples of your poetry, I have come to a conclusion.

You have the feeling of the poem, down. I mean, so many of your poems make me smile. It's a really great thing you have going.

But, as with all of my comments I try to give a good critique.

I think you need to do more now. You've got the basics down, so I really want to see you start experimenting, playing around with different things like formatting, rhythm and rhyme. Right now I don't see much style in your works, sure, the words are great, but what about the poem screams 'you?'

I think every poet needs to have some sort of signature, something that makes their writing unique from all of the others. The only way to get that is to experiment. I'm not even sure if I've got it yet, and anyone can see the different styles I've gone through.

Go, play with words.

Thank you for the critique, Stelle! As always, I really appreciate you taking the time to read through my stuff. I'm hopefully going to try playing around with words and schemes soon. I just seem to write whatever comes to mind lately as of the past few months. ^_^
