What classifies as old?

The question is simple. How old does a cartoon have to be to be considered old?
I'm going to be 26 in April. Obviously, I have seen many cartoons in my time, many of which are quite old. For instance,

Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers first came on when I was 5 yrs old. In 1990 there is an old classic called attack of the Killer

Tomatoes which was based off an old movie made in 1978 and it's sequel. I was 10 when Gargoyles first came on. I have a hard

time considering it old, but since it is a good 15 yrs old...
If it was made before 2000, I just can't bring myself to call it old.
What do you guys define as old? How old do you think a cartoon mut be before it's considered old?

well there defiantly has to be time passed before a cartoon can be called a old cartoon.

i remember the orignal batman animated cartoon back in the 1990's.

Personally to me an Old cartoon is one that has premiered more than five years ago.

I mean if we limit it to just cartoons that are no longer getting new episodes then you can't call the Simpsons an old cartoon.

It's been on since 1989. It's an old cartoon with new episodes.
Umm, did you mean a cartoon that has been ended for over 5 yrs? Because, as mentioned above, Simpsons 'premiered' 21 yrs ago.

Lucy and the Devil
The Boondocks
Go Diego GO
Just to name a few. And there are also shows premiering in 05 that didn't get another season, such D.I.C.E. and Pet Alien.

I consider an old cartoon to be anything that has not been on air for at least a decade.

crying That means cartoons from when I was a teenager.
But then...that's probably how my dad felt too when I was little.
But then, that's also the seperation of generations. Baby Boomers (my dad) vrs Gen X (me) vrs Gen Y (anyone born after 1990).

No I meant premired five years ago.

Most cartoons do not last five seasons so any cartoon that has premiered five years ago has usually been finished for at least one to two years.

I was born in 90 so to me Monster rancher, Mighty Max, Street Sharks and Earthworm Jim are old to me but classic lol.
