I received a text bright and early this morning from a friend regarding this post from the MCR website.
From mychemicalromance.com:
"Hello Friends,
Recently it seems as though every time we write to you guys we have bad news, and we apologize for that, but we've learned in life you can't have the sweet without the sour. As a band we have been very fortunate over the years that our sweet times have greatly outweighed the sour ones, and a great deal of that is owed to you, the fans. Which is why we wanted this news to come from us and not some bullshit gossip site.
As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.
We also wanted to give you all a quick heads up on how the record is progressing. We have been writing some very powerful new songs so this week the four of us entered the studio once again, and what has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created."
I would just like to say, thank you Bob, for your great job with MCR. We will all miss you.

That's terrible! I guess there isn't anything that we can do but wish them all luck! I'll miss Bob a lot, but you know... Sometimes things like that happen. I just hope it doesn't cause a band break down or something. :/

And they're also taking a break because the're all starting families

You guys are talking about him like he died.
But, at least you arent' like the guys on the website.
Almost everybody on the website is pissed because they decided to part ways with Bob. And that, in turn, pisses me off. Obviously the agreement was what was best for both parties in said situation. Rawr. People need to get over themselves.
Though, I do wish they'd given a little more insight as to why he's gone.
I wish all the best, though.
Bob, in his future expeditions c:

And more importantly, a drummer who is going to be expected to fill Bob's shoes. So, I wish that guy luck, too.

The article in Jan 2010 AP issue said Bob had a new tendon put in his hand or at least some type of surgery with his arm. That could be one reason. It still sucks though... It's a similar situation of what happened with Maroon 5 and their first drummer- he began getting problems when he played, and they finally had to part. They got a new drummer pretty quick that is really good though. Adam and the band are still friends with their old drummer though- I hope Bob and the others stay friends. cry confused

I'm starting to get annoyed with the people on the dot com site, for being douche bags and pissy. I saw one comment saying Bob doesn't deserve to be in any band and should go back working for Disney Land. evil

I'm sad, I'm heartbroken, and I would give anything for Bob to be back, because it takes away a lot of excitement for the new album and I'm so sad I never met him. Pretty much, its been a bad few days for me, because I can't think of anything else.
BUT. I am getting so pissed off at people for accusing them of lying about Gerard's voice! Maybe Bob was part of the problem, but Frank would NEVER lie to us about the reason for canceling shows, or that someone was in the hospital. ALL of the members care about each other, and I doubt that it was a one-sided decision for Bob to leave. Maybe his surgery didn't end up perfectly, maybe something else. But MCR will continue with the same music. Just...have a less amazing lineup.
No drummer will ever be as amazing as Bob, and I wish him the best. But its not the rest of the band's (or Bob's) fault. =]
P.S. as tons of people have already mentioned, maybe he can officially start his solo career now? Gerardopoly doesn't require him to drum ;D

Dude. That sucks.
The Rev of Avenged Sevenfold died... and now MCR's drummer is gone.. that sucks so much.. i wonder why he left... crying Bob was awesome
