--Anorexic beauty queen, with painted eyes so toxic...--
Okay. The way we do things at my school is that we get a project sometime during the semester called a summative, worth 10-15% of my mark. The semester has barely gotten kicked off, but I'm prepping for my drama summative. More than likely, I'll have two minutes in front of the class to do whatever I please, as long as it is in the realm of apropriate. I plan on asking the teacher, but I wanted to know: If you were my audience, would you view this as apropriate or no?
My idea is a monologue of sorts. In essence, it is one person. One person with an alter ego or two. here's a lot of chatter etc.
I plan to make this incredibly dark, creepy etc.
But the idea is basically the girl and her Ego(s) to be talking about whether she is insane, should go to a psychiatrist/psychologist, and the consequences of doing such. She talks about violent images in her head and feeling disgusted that such thoughts are part of her.
I wouldn't normally ask, because I've done something similar, but not with this audience, and this one is planned to be creepy, and if I can manage, somewhat frightening.

Well I've taken drama all through high school. I figure if your audience is able to handle it then sure. It sounds like it would be a great performance. Like a Jekyll and Hyde scene of sorts. It'r rather intriguing.

Thank you! I came up with the idea a couple days ago.
A couple people have told me that it could be very well done if I can act it out well enough. But that's not much of a problem. I know I can.

Thanks. ^-^ I don't need to worry about it until the end of the school year, but still, I want to get a head start.

Kira - Yes, and as previously stated, I've done this before, and pulled it off 'very well' according to my teacher.
Genie - XD Kinda, if Gollum is now a teenage girl and an overly british optimist. I find that it's not very hard, but I say that with almost anything when it comes to actng.

[[If it you keep in the area of violent and not take it to a sexual place, then I think it's fine.
I mean, I don't know about your school but around here skinned humans are okay while sodomy is not.]]

Well, last semester a girl on a mandolin sang a song about a phallus. I'm thinking sexual isn't going to do much XD
But yes, there isn't anything sexual. Just her talking about violent images.

I'd say it's fine.
For our English Language coursework, we have just had to write and perform a monologue and I wrote from the perspective of a psychologically damaged, split personality serial murdering transvestite.
And everyone loved it. cool
My teacher suggested I see a therapist because I wrote it so well, but if you can pull it off, you should go all out! I know how fun it is to write something like that!

Just for reference, what grade are/were you in? I'm grade eleven.

I don't understand American grades sweatdrop
I am in college doing my AS levels, that is primarily for 16-17 year olds.
But in America college means university, right? College for us is after we leave secondary school but before we start univeristy, it's a two year course (sometimes more).
Edit: I'm English.

This idea sounds... fun. ._. Just kidding! If you write with style, and I'm sure that you do, you will have a very captivated audience. Mental disorders are a pretty big literature theme right now, so I'm sure that your teacher won't mind.
