I can't wait to see it because I am a HUGE avatar fan (I've seen every episode), but the acting choices do surprise me. I haven't seen Dav Patel in anything besides Slumdog and I'm interesting to see how Sokka is going to be portrayed by that twilight fellow. O' well, only time (and July 12th) can tell.

It's horribly miscast, but the special effects look good.
I'm a huge avatar fan so I'll probably go and see it.
I'm not so sure that any of the actors are any good though. Dev Patel, IMO, totally sucks, and the children playing Katara and Aang have almost no experience.
And the guy playing Sokka whose name I can't remember is sooo emotionless in all the movies I've seen him in. I can't imagine him being Sokka at all! D:

I was never a fan of the animated show, to be perfectly honest. I don't know if this will appeal to me anyway, as I've only seen one trailer for it. It looks like a big production (nice visuals, good effects, things like that) but I don't know that it will have much else going for it.
I think it would be a difficult movie to cast. In the times that I have watched the animated series, I can't say that I can think of any actors or actresses that would be good fits for the parts. Of course, that is just me smile .

i guess it looks interesting...it doesnt look like it has cheesy effects but i guess we can hope for the best of it and for them to get it rite
