Hi! I'm Allison. I want to keep this journal/food log to help myself with motivation and sticking to my goals.

Height = 5'7.5"
Weight at start = 170lbs
Current weight = 155lbs
Measurments = need new tape!
Pictures = coming soon, just need to upload them :3
Goal = 125-130lbs. (lose approx. 40-45lbs.)

Date: Feb. 9th, 2010

Calorie Log:
breakfast:
1 slice toasted bread - 100
1/2 can tuna in water - 50
1/3 tomato - 5
water (was out of everything else! - 0
snack:
1 med. apple - 65
few sips Mountain Dew tonic water - 0
"tea 2 go" packet + water - 0
lunch: woke up at 11:30 - lunch was breakfast!
dinner:
2 small slices cheese pizza - 800
100g. raw spinach - 15
3 cherry tomatoes - 20
3 or 4 slices cucumber - 3
tea, unsweetened, half glass (they were out! D: ) - 0
snack:
tea with 1 tsp. sugar - 15
oatmeal made with water and 1 tsp. sugar - 115
TOTAL 1188
Exercise: Gym still closed due to snow.
Reflections:
Went to the store today (in the snow! there is soooooo much of it. a lot of slush too. i had to wal kin the street lol.) and bought a bunch of apples and grapefruit and other good stuff. Also got these "tea 2 go" packet things because that's the only thing they had at the moment (as far as flavored water goes) and I'm going to give it away >.< It's sweetened with Splenda and I can totally taste it. It kind of tastes like vomit D: I'll just take the time to make the chill tea myself from now on. Yuck! Will be going to dinner soon. I'll update later!

update after dinner:
Turns out they have a menu up online for the school cafeteria! I went there before I went to dinner and figured out what I'd have. Turns out they had really gross things for the normal meal things so i got cheese pizza instead - I was really better off, trust me! I think I'll have like a fruit or cereal or something light in maybe 2 hours or so, but dinner made me pretty full (it doesn't take a lot to get me full). I gave away that tea 2 go thing lol. I feel good about today - my goal is to be between 1100 and 1500 calories a day, so I still have room for like a cup of cereal or whatever. (I didn't do this on purpose, it just happened that way!)

hot chocolate prepared with 1/2 water and 1/2 skim milk - 158
dinner:
1 cup jasmine rice - 280
1 hotdog weenie - 149
3 cherry tomatoes - 20
lettuce 100g - 15
spinach, raw 100g - 15
carrots in orange sauce, few slices - 70
TOTAL 1296
Exercise: Gym closed due to snow, however...
Reflections: Went outside today to take pictures of the snow storm and walked a LOT, uphill, in the snow (sometimes knee-deep), against the wind. Lol. I'm feeling pretty good about today's calorie log! Still under 1500, and not hungry :3 I'm starting to remember a lot of the calorie values for the foods I eat often, and I do some research before dinner to make good choices when I'm at the cafeteria. So I'm doing well so far! (:

To be honest I'm a bit concerned about how much -- or, rather, how little -- you're eating. The very minimum that a woman should eat while attempting to lose weight is 1200 calories, which you're around. However, another thing you need to consider is your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR).

Your BMR is how many calories you'd need to survive in a coma, just to keep your essential organs (brain, heart, lungs, etc) functioning. Here is an online calculator of BMR. I calculated yours by guessing your age to be 18, and I got 1603 calories.

If you eat under your BMR, you could sabotage your weight loss attempts by sending your body into starvation mode. You'll lose for a few days, but your body will then realize you're not getting enough energy, and it'll convert everything you eat into fat and get energy from your muscles instead.

Especially if you're going to be exercising, I'd suggest eating at least at your BMR. If you've been eating below for a while, you could gain a bit when you first switch, but it should flatten out and start going back down again once your body realizes it's getting enough fuel again. If you're set on eating below your BMR, please please please see a nutritionist for a detailed nutrition plan to make sure you're getting enough nutrients to make up for the lack of calories.

Thanks for letting me know - I'll try to fit in more. Lately I have not been feeling hungry because I just got my period and I feel bloated all the time, I have been eating what I can fit in. Once I start to feel better, I'll pick back up again :3

you're not eating very much!
but I do understand the period thing
(except when I get mine I usually EAT LIKE CRAZY!

i didn't really realize i wasn't haha. i was just eating when i was hungry and stopped when i wasn't. but i tried to eat more today to fill 1600 calories and i did lol yay

Reflections:
I didn't really realize I was eating little o_o so I made an effort to eat more today. I went over my number (1600 now) by like 21 calories but that's not that much.
Anyway, the night was pretty awful. I had cramps and my stomach started to hurt, the top part, which isn't from cramps. And the same thing when I woke up. I stayed in bed all day with the exception of going to dinner, with a heating pad on my stomach. u_u Anyway, yeah, everything still hurts. I hope I can fall asleep tonight!

Due to pain in my stomach (non-period related), I have been in bed for these past few days mostly, therefore I didn't eat frequently or that much, but I still tried to eat as much as I could. I'm feeling better now and I hope the pains will end by tomorrow (it hurts less and less). So here are the missed days on which I haven't posted:
