My feelings toward Captain Planet are very mixed.

I loved it when I first watched it to the point I was absolutely obsessed with it.

However a few years ago I got a chance to watch it again and was incredibly disappointed with it. I found myself constantly annoyed at the Anvillicious Aesops.

The sheer fridge logic of the Planeteers flying around in a jet that could help solve the energy crisis if it was mass produced.

Not to mention the villains who only polluted to pollute because apparently kids aren't smart enough to see complex issues

Not to mention the fact Wheeler the only American planeteer was designated team dumb guy.

Here's one example Wild Fires have a benefit to some plants esp in North America.

Of course like everything in nature it's a really complex system. Some areas for instance are suffering from two many fires.

I used to watch it but didn't think anything of Cpt. Planet cuz i likd Spider-man more. Then i lookd up Captain Planet on Wikipedia and he has alot of cool powers actually. He could give Spider-man a run for his money had he been a marvel hero lol. xd

There actually was a short Captain Planet comic book. I can't remember which company published it though.

It did have a neat divergence though in the Captain Pollution story. Pollution for instance looked different and had slightly altered powers. He also beat the crap out of Captain planet and had to be beaten by the planeteers instead featuring the only time Heart was used offensively in any version of the show's continuity. (They used it to link themselves and then to cancel out the hate that bound him together making him blow up)
