I'm Madame de Sousa aka Maggie!
I'm 21 years old and from New York.
I weigh 150lbs and I am 5'1. crying
I'm a French Education major and German minor at Mansfield University.




My Goal is to be 130lbs by May 2010
I am here because I am studying abroad next summer in Québec and next year in France so I really don't want to give off an already thought stereotype of the US. Also, I can NEVER find clothes that fit me well.

The Water Experiment
The water experiment is my daily goal to drink the daily recommended 8 cups of water or 64 ozs

My shape is very round and I HATE it crying
especially my stomach.
Plus I have very small boobs 34C and they really do not go with my shape.

Mini Goal
10lbs lost/ at 140lbs( really 139 so I know it may not come back) I will get my ears repierced smile
I want to RUN a mile without stopping by the end of the semester

I would like to be a full certified kayak instructor so I need to get to the pool 2 times a week once school starts unless I get a job.

This will be my 3rd attempt at losing weight!
sadly I never stay motivated enough to keep losing weight

Bonjour!

Personally, I used to be at about 150, which isn't that bad. I know you can lose the extra weight if you try! As you lose weight, you become better at resisting empty calorie foods, and become happier as you look better.

If your problem is eating empty calorie foods, I suggest you do this. Ask yourself, before eating the chocolate/cookies/whatever, 'Is this really worth the calories?'. It's especially helpful if you tend to exercise, because then you know how difficult burning calories is.

You can do it, you can do it, you can do it!

20 pounds is manageable! It's a lot, but it's manageable! Especially with all of your motivation to travel! I went to Austria for a month this past summer and ended up losing 10lbs. I gained it back here but that's 'cause I wasn't trying at all. You eat better overseas (even in Canada, really) and walk more, so everyone is naturally more fit. You'll get there looking great and then lose even more, or tone up a bunch, I'm sure. :D I'm really excited for you!

Tip of the Day: Don’t compare yourself to others
Every body is different. It stands to reason that everybody will lose weight differently. Even if you do the exact same things that I do, you won’t lose weight at the same rate. The key is in finding your triggers. Keep your goal in sight, and do whatever you have to do to meet that goal. When you start looking at someone else’s habits, you’re only going to become discouraged and quit without even realizing that it’s physically impossible to be anybody but yourself.

Tip of the Day:
It is an ok book but of course I'm poor and can't afford to buy fresh foods all year long. I recommend it for a sorta fun read.
I like seeing the French throughout the book.
( Me = francophile)
Can't wait till summer so my grandfather's garden grows smile

I really hope I can do it. This is my third time trying to lose weight.
Last time I did lose 10 pounds in 3 months but I went to Italy and gained it back in 2 weeks plus some so I gave up after that.

I loveee chocolate but as a "punishment" I rode my bike for an hour and 30 mins.

These are my babys
Both were rescued from the shelter

Rocky is the older one he is 8 and weights 150lbs
We got him when he was 3. He was in the shelter for 9 months since no one wanted him. He was abused and he is scared of all men and tall people.


Ruby is the smaller and younger one she is about 3 and weights 100lbs
Her owner died and the person who she was given to went crazy and left her and her brother in a car with the windows closed when it was 100 degrees out
Shes a lovebug
