Artist Block! Any Suggestions?

Okay, so I've been working on an artwork I had in my head for a while, but now I'm stuck. Does anybody have any suggestions on say... the color scheme? What I should take out? What I should add? Anything?

Her eyes look a little to close to me. And you could add more details to the wings. I like it so far though.
Just add some shading when you color it.
I'm seeing a warm color scheme with bright yellows and oranges.

My suggestion is to become a bit more invested in your character.
Let her become a living breathing person, create a back story. I think your block will disappear and the rest will come quickly.

dont think too much.
it's a long or short process depending on when you'll snap out of it.


it's a stage in one's artistic life that you will encounter many times.
i feel as if i'm in an artistic coma and it's just one of those things that you just have to wait out before you can start again. :3

dont worry too much about it though.
the best you can do now is doodle! ^^

I agree with Crimson, take some time to doodle and step back from your piece. If you are unsure of what to do next in your image, perhaps try small sketches using one or two concept you have been thinking about and see how they change the image. Take up a small study of something you have trouble with, perhaps figuring it out will lead to inspiring the piece you are having trouble with.

I find more often then not I get stuck because there are too many things I want to try in one piece and I fight to keep to one concept. Stepping back usually lets me remember what I had originally tried to do and reevaluate which techniques would help achieve that.
