This a thread devoted to sharing a song of your selection that just makes you happy.

Personally for me my happy song is a Johnny Cash cover of The Passenger originally made by Iggy Pop.

I Have no idea why this song in particular, it is not particularly my genre of music nor do I like any other songs by the artists implied in the making of the song. Never the less this song just picks me up like a bottle of pills (not literally). No matter where, what mood or situation I happen to be in, it just makes me... happy. smile

I know it probably sounds a little on the over the edge side, but the song "Romeo's Distress", by Christian Death, always seems to put me in a bouncy mood.

And just about anything by The Cure that isn't on their gloomier albums.

Oh, there's a few that are good for that.
So, I'm going to completely ignore where the thread suggests I list a single song, but still restrain myself, and only say:

Another One Bites da Funk - Party Ben [a mashup of Another one Bites the Dust by Queen, and Da Funk by Daft Punk]
Carry on Wayward Son - Kansas
Woo Ha - Busta Rhymes
More than a Feeling - Boston
Insane in the Membrane - Cypress Hill
Casanova - Roxy Music
Big Girls Don't Cry - Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Great songs for shuffle.

Anything by The Cure (on the less dark side of their music)
Anything by Gang Starr
Anything by Enya
And Blink-182 has a habit of that as well.

Second Hand Faith by Emilie Autumn. Well, anything from her Enchant album really.

Bled White by Elliott Smith, even though it's about drinking and drugging "to take away this curse, but it makes me feel much worse."

It's indescribably optimistic:
I may not seem quite right
But I'm not ********, not quite

My happy songs would have to be "Circles" by Soul Coughing and "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo.
