In the ancient times, a fearsome dragon god guarded the Stairway to the Star Dragon, the stairway to eternal life and happiness. This dragon, known as the Crimson Dragon, fought off the Earthbound Immortals: fearsome, giant beasts who want to destroy the Stairway to the Star Dragon and let their leader, the King of the Underworld, free. The Crimson Dragon fought hard and succeeded in defeating these Earthbound Immortals and sealed them away into the Earth, keeping the Stairway, as well as his ‘daughter’, safe… for now…

Now, hundreds of years later, the fate of the world rests in the hands of the Crimson Dragon once again. In this time, in the year 3421, there are two lone cities: New Domino City and The Satellite. These cities are well advanced in technology and have Duel Monsters. Duels Monsters is a game of strategy and more by using cards (Yu-Gi-Oh Cards if you wanted to be specific in real life). This game is for fun, and there is a special kind of dueling called a Turbo Duel. Turbo Duels are duels while on a special bike called a Duel Runner, though only so many exist. You see, the two cities are separated by water, since they are two islands, but they are connected by two highways: one for normal use, and one for Turbo Duels. This was all made for fun, but when some of the Signers and Dark Signers have a Duel Runner, they go into Turbo Shadow Duels. Turbo Shadow Duels are like Shadow Duels on the ground, but they are now on the bikes. Just like any other vehicle, you can crash and get hurt in Turbo Duels and Shadow Turbo Duels, and hurt badly…

Now these Dark Signers are people controlled by the Earthbound Immortals and are trying to destroy the Stairway to the Star Dragon, along with the Crimson Dragon itself so they can release the Earthbound Immortals as well as the King of the Underworld. The only way to stop them is to beat them in a Shadow Duel: either a Shadow Ground Duel (which takes place on normal grounds inside a Shadow Ring), a Shadow Stadium Duel (which takes place on in a stadium, though there is a Shadow Ring too), or a Shadow Turbo Duel (which takes place in a Shadow Circuit and it depends on which Dark Signer you face depends on what Shadow Circuit you race on).

All i've talked about was basically the evil people, so here is something about the normal, good signers. The Signers are the ones who help the Crimson Dragon protect the Stairway to the Star Dragon. They help by defeating the Dark Signers and don't let them near the Stairway. The Stairway is in the tallest building in the center of New Domino City, though no one is allowed to go to that section of the building except the few people who are signers, though no one knows about the signers and dark signers anyways...

Signers' Marks:

Which is which?: Top Left- Tail Mark; Bottom Left- Head Mark; Top Right- Wing Mark; Middle Right- Leg Mark; Bottom Right- Arm Mark

At some points, if in a Shadow Duel a Signer needs help to win (aka the support basically), then the marks will go to that Signer and form the Crimson Dragon Mark.

She waited there on her Duel Runner for a bit, watching the twins.

"hey um... can i talk to you two for a minute?..." Rose asked. i know the girl is a signer... i'm just wondering if she knows it... if she does, then this might go easier than i thought...
