I was glad to hear this, i kept on getting mad when any of my art can out... well... like s**t (excuse my potty mouth) but once i heard this i felt better and then bought myself a small blank book to just doodle in. i am not allowing my self to erase anything, and can you believe it my art has improved.
Give it a try and get yourself any type of note book to just doodle in, you will see what i mean.

Reminds me of Walker, he told me; "Everything you draw, the first time is crap." Freshmen me blinked, with the 'gee, thanks.' Basically, Bob told me the story of how in Japan a teacher assigned him to make a cup for his final project -- he had to do it a 100 times before it reached anywhere near perfection. While that's good and all, I thought to myself -- oh, my goodness! All the clay that was wasted in the process, the money.

People who overly criticize others are simply insecure about themselves.

When it comes to art, I think constructive criticism is best. But for every ounce of criticism, I add a pound of compliments.
