Other supernatural animes/mangas...

So does anyone have any other supernatural themed animes and/or mangas to recommend?

I personally recommend these:
Shinrei Tantei Yakumo - Akai Hitomi Wa Shitteiru AKA Psychic Detective Yakumo - The red eyes know
And Arcana Soul

Both of these mangas are only available online at the moment, and doubt either of them will ever get licensed. They're only too volumes, so they don't take too much time to read. Both of them involve ghosts. heart I'd tell you where to read them, but that's against the rules.

So....go read them. Like, now. xd

Here's a really obscure one for you!

I recommend the anime Ghost Hound.
Very similar name, I know.
It's about a group of kids who learn to astral project and have a lot of really... strange... adventures.
But it's not a comedy, oh no, it's very spooky and confusing.

It's really cool, but I have never met anyone else who's seen it.

Yeah, it really gets interesting a few episodes in.
There's one part where they're exploring an abandoned hospital that's really scary though.

Okay so I watched episode two the other day....

OMG, that thing with the egg was DISGUSTING!! So groooooss. That was uncalled fooooor! gonk gonk gonk Seriously, disgusting. I had to look away from the screen.

Um, is the rest of the anime gross like that? Because I'm rather squeamish. redface

I have no memory of what you speak of.

I find the main character's flashbacks about his dead sister to be quite disturbing, but you get used to those.
There's also a bit in episode 4 that's very scary, but not disgusting at all.

Spoiler warning! The thing with the egg was when What's His Name (lol, I can't even remember the names of the characters...need to watch more I guess) was talking about What's His Name 2's dad slicing his eyelids with a knife. It showed someone slicing into the yolk of an egg... So groooooooss!

Huh. I must need to rewatch the series. I only vaguely remember that.

The person talking was probably Masayuki. He has.... no concept of the ideas of 'personal space', 'tact', and 'too much information'. He's also my favorite character. XD

Person 2 is Makoto. He's the insane one. 3nodding

what about xxxholic, has a few spirits. i just started reading the manga it's pretty good im on vol. 3, and what is ghost hound like? my cousin loves it but she says she will never explain what it is about until after i watch or read. why she said that is still a mystery.........
