I was watching G4 when I heard about this on The Feed. I was shocked and angry. My fiancee is sad, because now, they may not make Thor and a lot of those other movies they planned on making that he was so excited for.

talk about the disappointment of the year. i hate disney; they don't even make good movies anymore- that's up to dreamworks and pixar now adays. but disney still has to put their damn name on everything. i'm kinda disappointed with marvel at the same time, though, for whoring themselves and being bought by such an overbearing and stupid child/weakminded aimed enterprise. =[
yeah, i'm still kinda upset over all this news. haha

They did cite a hands-off relationship with Marvel, at least...so Marvel should go on making their own stuff, while Disney reaps in the money.

Otakkun They did cite a hands-off relationship with Marvel, at least...so Marvel should go on making their own stuff, while Disney reaps in the money. Honestly, Marvel fans should be happy this is happening, because Disney has a vast wealth of resources to fund Marvel's productions and an unbelievably awesome marketing department. Instead, they'd rather conjure up some kind of twisted world where Disney has the Punisher and Hannah Montana teaming up with Donald Duck and Spiderman to fight Sephiroth because they overthink it from a simple business venture.

The new CEO of Disney is trying to get Disney back to the way they were with their own good quality animated films. He seems like a much better CEO than the other one, which is why Pixar signed a longer contract with Disney. Disney is also just going to sit back and let the companies be themselves.
Does it totally urk me that Disney is gradually devouring everything it can? Yes but it helps keep me favorite companies afloat.

I feel the same. disney thinks they own the world and whatever they don't have, they will soon! some things are awesome; all early disney movies, some spin-off shows from movies, and recess! others are not; Hannah montanah, jobros, all other "caned laughter" shows!
Leave Marvel Alone!

I was very sad when I heard this. Hopefully disney will not screw with things too much and the creative talent and feel of marvel will remain unchanged.
Not looking forward to seeing dudes in spidey or wolverine costumes walking alongside cinderella at disneyworld, though. There's something seriously wrong there.
