Um, not to be rude or anything but...um....Aren't reptiles animals? So why name the forum "Animals and Reptiles?" confused

Note: I am a high school Biology teacher, and I love making sure of my facts and getting facts straight for others ^^

Just for fun, have you ever seen one of these gals? A female leatherback turtle, nesting on a beach in the Caribbean during turtle nesting season which runs from March 1st-August 31st each year:

=D I was going to say something about that too. Reptiles are certainly animals, just like people.

It should be "pets and reptiles". Thats what they really mean. Yes reptiles are pets, but they aren't always in the connotation of "pets". That makes me think of dogs and cats mostly.

Well I would think animals in general, considering there is marine life too out there that isn't classified under mammal or reptilian. Just saying.

i just spoke to her. she said it's because she started this guild when she was 12. so she really didn't think about it. she's gonna change it a little later.
