I decided to put this up cause I didn's see it up there. So...yea. Anything on this subject is open.

What exactly are you looking for?

How to integrate plants into your daily life and cooking, or herbalism as an aid to, say, trancework and witchcraft and whatnot?

Well I am already pretty good at it, I just need supplies...that are fairly closeby...and/or I could teach a bit...

You're not getting them from right next to the road, are you? Because that'd be bad.

For a day-to-day implementation of herbs and weeds and whatnot, and integrated cooking, you might want to check out HerbMentor and their sister site LearningHerbs.

They have some free stuff up, too, and every so often there's a free mail-thing with links to 'how-to's.

It's basically a family going the Herbal route.

They also have links to places you can get herbs, but not having gotten any herbs from them ever before, I can't promise they're any good.

Also, some of the information they post doesn't always stroke with what Tea told me (about tea, that is), but for the most part, they look legit.

No, I would never get them from the road...that's just dumb...I'll check them out, thank you. All I want is some mint leaves...I can't find them anywhere...Why are they so hard to find?

Good.

And good question. Dunno. Might depend on the soil in your neighbourhood?

Sometimes, they sell 'em in stores, here.

Go to the grocery store. Check the baking isle, they'll be next to the other spices.

That said, why do you want them?

Failing that, if you don't want dried mint, go to a garden store and buy the seeds.

And a pot to grow it in.

It's a horrible weed when you don't want it around.

It's also worth noting why dried would be unacceptable.

It's chemical properties are different?

I agree that mint is a terrible, terrible weed if you don't want it, so watch out for that if you grow it yourself. My parents planted one mint plant a few years back, and now they have roughly 50 billion of the things around their yard.

That said, when possible, growing your own herbs is your best bet. That way you know exactly what went into them, in the growing process.

It's chemical properties are different?
That would rely on the chemistry being an important position within the school of herbalism the OP is addressing. wink
