Edward was born in Ireland. Being the middle child of the Salvigny family, he was often put aside and ignored as a child. Having to be beside himself for most of his childhood life, he learned to ignore what others say about him. He was the third child of a family of four children. His two older siblings as long with his parents died in a war which they had participated in against the French. Unfortunately for Edward, all family matters have been put upon his shoulders. Casting aside his only younger brother for he is not worthy of his time, he currently lives alone in his castle.
Growing up without the love and care as he would need from his parents, Edward prefers to be by him self most of his time. Books became his greatest passion along with the many rules he had set for himself. He takes great pride in what he had become, and anyone who shall step over the boundaries he had set out for others would face great consequences.

Edward would often be described as a quiet but sincere boy. He never speaks out of line and expect the same from others. He has a very careless personality, for nothing interests him. Although many aspects of the races he have come in contact with disgusts him, he find they all the same, a bore to him. Having been around maids and servants all his life, he takes many things for granted. As selfish as he may sound, not giving any attention to the liking or well being of others, he is merely a boy with a heart, locked away from others around him. In need of someone caring and able to melt his frozen heart, he sits and waits for that 'someone' patiently.

Well, she’s never had the time for a relationship before, but she likes boys.

Haven was born in England to a very poor family. Her mother sadly died while giving birth to her little brother whom she loves dearly. Being the oldest in the house, she works extremely hard for her age. She’s the mother figure of the household and takes care of everyone, including her father who is getting sick. She’s very worried about him and doesn’t know if he’ll get better or not. Because of this, she does his chores as well as her own. Her little brother is now five but thankfully knows how to handle himself. She watches over him non-stop and is always there for him. She has a job as a servant for the stuck up Edward. She doesn’t live there like the other servants, she gets to leave and come back so she can be with her family. When she actually gets time to herself which is a very rare thing, she loves to read. Well, read as much as she can. She taught herself how but she’s not very good. As well as reading, she loves to learn new things on her spare time. She enjoys cooking as well but they rarely have enough food that could be used to cook with.

Haven’s personality is an interesting one. She’s usually always seen as a very calm and caring person. That’s not the case all the time, though. She can be extremely mean when she wants to be but you have to push her very far for that side of her to show. Otherwise she always has everyone’s best interests at heart. Even though she knows that her family as well as herself are the bottom of the food chain, she never seems to stop smiling. She’s always very cheery and looks for the best of things in the worst. Hence her favorite saying, ‘Always look on the bright side of things.’

A knock came from the large wooden doors of his office. "Come in .. " He grumbled out as the door slowly opened to let a maid in. Bowing before him, she made a quick look at his documents before starting to speak.

"Master Edward."

As if she had not spoken at all, Edward continued to ignore her. Edward was working hard on getting his papers done before the sunset. An eye twitching slightly at the disturbance in his office, he began to write slower and slower. With his pen pressing harder and harder on the paper, he puts the pen down, finally looking up from the multiple documents scattered on his desk.

" What do you want ?"

Assuming it is the right time to speak, the maid began,"Master Edward, there will be a new servant coming in today. Her name will be Haven. Sir, would you like to meet her personally? For she will be your new assistant. " A Maid said as Edward silently stood up from his seat.

"Interrupt me again, and you will find yourself without a job. " Edward said before leaving his office, making his way downstairs to meet that new maid of his.

Haven had left her home early that morning to head to the castle. She was going to be a servant to the prince himself. Most people would find this to be someting truly amazing but not she. She had heard the rumors about how rude and obnoxious he was. That didn't sit well with her but she knew she needed to do this because she was actually going to get paid. Not a lot but enough to get the things she needed most for herself and her family.

She had made it to the castle shortly after, her home not being too far away. She was in the main room with a few other servants, talking quietly about what she'd be doing exactly. One of them had left to go get the royal pain himself to meet her. She had a strong feeling he really didn't want to come and meet her but she really could care less.

She could hear him coming down the stairs and sighed a bit. All the other servants stopped talking and stood up straight now, standing at attention it would seem, as they were waiting for him to enter the room. Haven did the same... sort of. They had made her stand in front of them so he would know she was the new one for he probably didn't know any of them by face or name.

Making his way down the endless hall towards his stairs, he thought about how much work he would be able to finish if he were not to be wasting time meeting this useless servant. Becoming more annoyed by the second, he finally reached the staircase located in the center of his home. Making his way down the stair case and into towards the servant quarters, he made a mental note to waste as little time as possible on this new maid.

Walking into the grand room, he took in the sight of his servants. Every one of them stood up from their spot and bowed towards him. Walking in from the door as if not noticing that they have stood up, he looked around room. The new girl obviously at the front of all of them. Walking up towards her slowly, he looked at her with a scowl on his face. She was no more than a normal peasant girl. Wondering to himself why his servants would be so careless as to hire someone who most likely would not have any skills that would benefit him in any way, he began.

" Your name girl?"He said in an uninterested tone as he circled her.

Haven watched as he cam into the room. She kept quiet as the other servants bowed and she made sure to be the same. Just by looking at his facial expression, she could tell he was just like the descriptions of him. She sighed silently and watched him come over to her. She was nervous of course but not becasue she was new there, because she had heard what happened there if you messed up. She was good at what she was there for and only hoped he thought so too.

"Haven, sir." She said quietly. She studied him carefully and quietly as he looked at her. '

Upon hearing her name, Edward turned around and proceeded to walk out of the grand room. " She's good enough" And with that , he began to leave.

" But Sir Edward! You didn't ask anything of her but her name. Do you not think that was to hastily decided? " The same maid that went to get him spoke up.

Stopping in his steps out of the room, Edward's anger quickly rose up. How dare she question his decisions. " Do.. I not THINK!? I do believe I warned you of disturbing me. A second chance will not be given to you," With that, he walked towards that same maid, holding her by the throat. A dark aura flaring about Edward furiously. Throwing the maid back, Edward turns around to leave again. " I do not wish to see her face in my castle again. " And with that said, Edward leaves the room, and proceeds to his office to finish his endless amount of papers once again.

Rubbing his temples as he once again remembered the amount of work he has to finish, he calls out " Haven! Organize all my files alphabetically. I expect it done by dinner. " He's smooth voice boomed through the castle walls as he took his steps up the staircase.

Haven watched in horror as he threw the maid back. She was struggling hard not to shake her head disapprovingly. He really was easily angered as well. She was starting to regret accepting the offer to work there, but... she had to if she wanted to keep her tiny family alive.

She jumped slightly as she heard him shout for her and was immediately confused. They hadn't told her where everythign was yet but thankfully, one of the maids came to her rescue. They showed her where to go and as soon as she was there, she started on organizing it all. Thankfully she knew how to read or she'd be in a world of trouble.

Making his way down the same corridor again, he opened his office door and proceeded to made his way towards his desk. Edward began to work on his papers and looked up when the door to his office opened to let the new girl in. Not sparing her a second glance, he buried his head down into his papers once more, only to be disturbed by the ruckus she was making with his files.

"Quiet down, silence is needed for my concentration." Edward stated without lifting his head up at the girl

Haven raised an eyebrow at him and rolled her eyes a bit. She knew he wasn't looking at her so doing so wasn't bad. She started to move everything slightly slower so that it wouldn't be too loud, even though it really wasn't that loud in the first place. At least, to her it wasn't.

After a tiny bit longer she finally finished, putting the last one away in its spot. She stood up now then looked at him questioningly. "Anything else?" She asked quietly, knowing he was probably going to flip on her for disturbing his concentration.

Edward continued to work on his papers contently as she quieted down. Focusing on the matter of taxes and near by alliances, he let out a small sigh before putting away the now done papers. Closing his eyes for a small while, letting his brain rest, knowing that this would be the only time he would get some before bed time, he rubbed his now aching temples.

Letting out a small scowl at her as she disturbed him yet again, this time with a out right question. Did she not learn to not question him? Looking up from his desk and at her, he looked at her harshly, before beginning.

" I would have asked you if I wished for assistance. Now keep your self busy by bringing me some tea from the kitchen. Two spoons of sugar. Make it quick." With that said he returned to rubbing his temples. Finally would he get some peace and quiet.

Haven sighed a bit then left the room to go do as he requested. She walked down the halls to the kitchen rather quickly. She shook her head as she did so as well and kept telling herself to look on the bright side of things. She always told herself that when things weren't always working out well or the way she planned.

She made it to the kitchen then got the tea for him with two scoops of sugar as requested. Oh how she wanted to put something in his tea to make him suffer. From what she saw, the kitchen was full of all kinds of herbs. She was educated in their different types as well as their uses as well. She of course, knew that wasn't a good idea so she didn't.

She took the tea back up stairs quickly, trying not to spill any of it. She knocked on the door lightly to let him know she was coming in then set the tea on his desk.

Taking the cup without a mere thank you from Edward, he took a small sip at the tea. Pulling the edge of the tea up away from his lips, he quietly put the innocent tea up back down onto his desk. Slowly looking up at Haven, his expression cannot be read from his face, finally did he opened his mouth to speak.

"Not too bad for a newbie. Ask one of the maids to show you around the castle, I do not wish to see your face until dinner."Edward said with an uninterested tone in his voice.

And with that , he picked up the tea up again to take another sip before standing up and taking the tea up with him. Turning from Haven, Edward made his way out of his office and into his chambers, leaving Haven to her self. He only hoped that this new girl was not as hopelessly dumb as the rest of his Servants.

Haven nodded then watched him leave. She wished she could be doing other things than serving a spoiled prince. She wanted to learn, it was just how she was. She spent her days at home in their tiny library, reading everything she could. She also liked looking at the stars, they were amazing too.

She left his study then walked to find one of the other maids. They then started to lead her around the castle, showing her the places she'd need to remember most.

Looking at the sun setting on his balcony, Edward made his way back into his chambers and towards his large wooden doors. Feeling hunger consume him, he decided to make a personal visit to the kitchens today, in search of the much needed meal. Out of his chambers and down the hall he went, towards the kitchen. Walking into the large dinning room, and into the kitchen, he asked the cook.

"I expect dinner to be ready in the next half hour. Tell that new girl to bring it up to my room." He said, before leaving the dinning room, and making his way back to his chambers. He does not plan on leaving his chambers again. At least, for the rest of this night.

The wooden floors creak as he walks upon them towards his room, the dimly lit hallways guide him as he made his way towards the large wooden doors that is the entrance to his room. Pushing them open, he closes the doors behind him, and makes his way towards his bed. Laying down on it with a exasperated sigh, he would finally get the rest that he needed.
