In plain English: A big bag and a small box. The blastscape is make up of five vac-formed area effects used as representations of certain in-game effects while the other set contains markers and decorative pieces useful for representing stratagems or for sprucing up bases and the playing field.
Blastscape: If you're familiar with GW's moonscape then this should be nothing new really. Simply put, this is a bag of five large, cheap and sturdy vac-formed terrain pieces that can easily be plonked on a table and put to great use. The contents, as shown below, can be of some use to the game, depending on whether or not the attacker will be using any of the respective stratagems they represent. However, this shouldn't keep you from using them for regular games of 40k or Apocalypse as objectives or just plain cover or debris.
The items are all finely textured making them easy to paint in no time at all
The Blastscape is £11.75 / $19.75 / €15,50

top: laserburn, middle: firestorm and space debris, bottom: space debris and meteor strike. Some may vary sightly from shown above as these are prototypes
Mines, Bombs & Booby Traps: Hur hur hur, I said boobies. Several times. Anyway, this little boxed set is just that: a fine and dandy collection of resin markers used to represent various lethal defence stratagems. The boxed set comes with three minefield signs, nine large mines that can double as escape hatches, four large pieces of damaged metal that count as traps, two crashed Hellstrike missiles and four stacks of Baneblade shells, which count as bombs or traps as well. Their uses can vary from marking the boundaries of a minefield, representing certain stratagem or objectives to handy decoration fodder for bases of large models. The shells in particular look fine next to artillery and the damaged metal plates make for fine dramatic bases for Imperial and Chaos models.
All in all the casting quality is superb and a real step up from what Forge World has been serving us over the years. The parts do require some cleaning and removal of vents, maybe a quick scrub with soap and the old toothbrush but other than that they're fandidanditabulous.
Added bonus: the boxed set of Mines etc. also contains twelve 40mm bases, which isn't a bad deal.
The Mines, Bombs & Booby Traps boxed set costs £12,00 / $22,50 / €17,50

top row: mines / escape hatches, middle row: traps and minefield marker (skulls on sticks piece is NOT included), bottom row: shells and hellstrike rockets
Verdict: While not a 100% must-have for your games they do come in handy for PS scenarios or as extra terrain for your regular and Apocalypse games. Their low prices make them even more attractive, especially the counter boxed set that comes with twelve extra 40mm bases. The only downer is that both of these sets are only available for a limited time, after that they're gone. However, seeing as these things usually don't go that fast you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them somewhere.
